Looking for TRT World

I have TRT World in my favorites on my tablet, I have no idea which addon/repo it came from. I would like to have it on my PC as well. Does anyone know where I can find it? Better yet, can anyone make me an addon? I have an address to the stream from the website but don't know how to edit or create addons yet.

How to change columns displayed in main list view?

I reinstalled TMM and the columns displayed are Title and Year, and checkboxes for NFO, metadata, images, trailers, subtitles and watched.

I want to add a column for the rating.  I am probably missing something obvious, but I do not see how to change the contents of the list view.  I have tried right-clicking on the table header and looking through the Settings dialog on the menu.

I can sort by Rating using the Filter box, but there is no column shown for Rating.

Error while searching for media in library

I use Kodi along with google drive.
I use in my library through .strm files, everything went wonderfully well, but when I do a search of movies or series it returns the normal result and when I click on the play of the episode or movie does not open the content appears the message "was not found path "or something like that.

I wanted to know if it is a mistake of some configuration of mine.
If so. Is there a way around this?

v18 - Minor UI bug

hi all,

there's a minor bug in the current Leia releases. E.g. KodiSetup-20190523-e9c14142-Leia-x64.exe
When playing a blu ray ISO image from the movie list after selecting the main movie in the popup menu that follows the movie starts playing. Then after stopping playback of thge movie the name of the movie changes to "Play main movie: xxx" in the movie list and the movie description in the list is gone. After restarting kodi the movie title in the movie list is o.k. again. Can someone reproduce this? I did not see any errors in the logs. The issue did not occur in kodi 17.x

v18 - Kodi Crashing upon startup

Hello, 

For the last month Kodi 18.2 seems to crash daily. It's installed on my HTPC so is left on almost 25/7 in order to stream around the house to the various smart tv's etc. What I find is when I go to stream some videos to my TV it's not there, so I remote in via TeamViewer on my phone (this is just what I usually do, If I change source on the connected TV it does the same thing) to start it up, it opens fine, goes through it's normal scan for new content then with no error message at all just closes. If I start it back up, it loads up and then I can use it as normal to view films and to stream around the house, leave it a few hours (longest I have noticed it still up is 16 hours give or take) and it will have crashed again. I have noticed in the appdata folder it has created loads of crash dumps over the last month to 6 weeks.

How hard would it be to make a game library for modern games, e.g. Steam/GOG/etc.?

I just tried out Kodi, and it looks great for video and music. It has a Games section, but it seems there is currently no library for it.

Most of the discussion I've seen on here seems to be about retro game emulators and such. I don't have any emulators, but I would love to be able to launch all my existing non-emulator games through Kodi, like an open-source version of Steam's Big Picture Mode (minus Steam's controller configuration, of course).

It would be great if we could make a movie-style library for games, that simply launches them either directly (in the case of standalone/GOG games) or through their respective launchers (in the case of Steam/GOG/Uplay/... games). In this case Kodi wouldn't be storing any actual game files themselves, but just a reference to the game installation, so storing artwork and such wouldn't be a problem. Steam and GOG could also provide perfect scraper source material, should we need more information than the game files themselves provide.

I'm thinking the existing movies interface would be perfect, except launching the game instead of playing a video. I have very little Kodi addon-development experience, so I don't know the best way to go about this -- would a plugin be suitable?

v18 - Kodi is closing after selecting anything

Hello,
When i'm trying to play anything Kodi is automatically closing. Doesn't matter which source or in which reposytory i'm. It's happening sometimes, then everything goes back to normal and then i can't play anything again. I'm not very good at everything that has to do with 'expert' settings etc. so please try to explain it like i'm a toddler (  Angel )

The 10KB avatar file size limit is insanely small

Hello! I just made an account here, and wanted to upload an avatar. The 100x100 pixel limitation wasn't a problem at all, I just exported a 96x96 image to use.

Then I saw that the file size limit was 10KB. My image was 13KB. (I'm using PNG, both for transparency and because my image is a vector with large uniform areas.)

So I installed pngcrush and optimized the image. That got me down to...10884 bytes. Still over the limit.

Then I installed optipng and used that to strip the PNG's metadata as well. That got me down to 10170 bytes, which is still over 10 1000-KB but under 10 1024-KB (the distinction is relevant here!) so it finally worked.

So trying to cram PNGs under the 10KB limit can be pretty difficult. (: Would you mind increasing it to, say, 20KB instead?

v18 - Web interface (Chorus2) - can I support both HTTPS and plain HTTP at the same time?

I recently discovered that Kodi has a built-in web interface. For no particular reason, I set it up with my own local HTTPS certificate. (: Of course, this means any other device that wants to use HTTPS with the web interface gets a certificate error.

So I tried accessing Kodi with plain HTTP, but that says "the connection was reset".

Can I support HTTPS for those who want it, but leave plain HTTP available for devices that don't have the certificate?

System menu disabled on Raspberry Pi

Hi,
Relatively new to Kodi.
After some playing around and testing, and using Confluence as my preferred Skin, I wanted to have my setup as a dedicated Music Player.
For that I wanted the interface to be as minimal as possible, so I disabled all menu options apart from 'Music', as I won't be using those other options (TV, Movies, Games, Weather etc)
But I also disabled 'System'.
Hmmm, now that is totally inaccessible. I can't seem find anything on this forum related to fixing this. There's some info on modifying files on Windows etc, but if I plug my SD card in my PC, I don't see any of those files that need to be edited.

Any way to get the System option back?
And is there any way to have this linked to a keyboard shortcut, so if I still want to disable the menu option, it would still be available, but just not visible?

FF-MPEG4 playback issues after upgrade

Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction on an issue I’m having. I recently wiped away an older install of Kodi (can’t remember the version, may have been 15.x or 16.x, but was running on Kodibuntu). I did a fresh install of 18.2 via the latest stable LibreELEC. Since the change, I am having issues with mpeg4 content. Playback is not smooth.

Again, mpeg4 seems to be the common denominator. All other content seems to be working fine. Ex Better quality (720p, 1080p) content, with different codecs. One thing to note when the issue is occurring: I see the dropped counter increment like crazy (multiple per second). This is not happening with other codecs.

Underlying hardware did not change. It is an intel-based build with a somewhat older i3 processor (from maybe 2011-2013).

Let me know if I missed any details. I can and will post a debug later when I get a chance, assuming it helps. Just wanted to see if there’s anything obvious I’m missing.

isPlayingVideo returns true even when playing Audio file

I am using Philips Hue add-on on Kodi 18.2 and it seems that isPlayingVideo returns true even if I start an mp3 file. This used to work fine on 17.

Issuing a system command upon clicking play

I'm not sure which subforum to post this.  Mods feel free to move it if required.  Is there a way Kodi can issue a system command when you click PLAY?  Upon clicking KODI's play button I want to issue a command to stop MPD.  I'm sure this is doable. Maybe it's an eventserver or d-bus server command?  Any pointers appreciated.

v18 - Timeshift not working on emby addon after upgrade to Leia

So, this is support thread I'm opening after talking with emby addon dev here

After some tests we have discovered video played with the addon is not marked as seekable, but only on Kodi 18. It works perfectly fine on Kodi 17.
Tests were done using the default kodi settings and using the same server and video file. It happens under windows and coreelec image (a fork of libreelec), so I can discard a problem on the OS or image, and also discard any configuration problem on my end, as the installs were fresh.

I would attach a log with the failure test, with debug info and verbose for libcurl, as dev asked me, but it is 1,5MB and it exceeds the max size for pastebin

Request - Use existing Movies UI for game library, and add a "games" to possible plugin types?

Hello! I just discovered Kodi, and it looks great for music and movies (well, not that I can use the built-in player for most movies, but I can still have it launch iTunes).

Now I'd like to write a plugin to launch games as well. Not emulator ROMs, but modern games installed elsewhere on the system.

Problem is, Games isn't a possible category for plugins. I can't make a plugin called, say, "plugin.games.steam-library". I can try making a Movies plugin for development, but that obviously won't work for the end result.

So would you mind just copying the Movies library UI over to the Games tab, if that's feasible, and adding a plugin type for it?

v18 - Windows may 2019 update kodi lost configuration

I got working kodi 18.2 auto updated from de Windows store and today after windows may 2019 update lost my network shares and library.

How can i fix it?

On %appdata%/roaming/kodi seems to be all my user data, but for some reason kodi is not using it, it's like kodi studently went to the uwp version not the bridged one anymore
