I came across this skin by chance but I must say that I am impressed. This is an awesome skin and kudos to jurialmonkey.

Have a small suggestion. In the skin settings just like the main menu and submenu/categories widget can be moved up or down, it would be most useful if widgets can be moved up or down as well.

I have a buch of music videos but they don't play in a row

I have downloaded like 300 of those random videos. They don't have any meta information. 

In my Kodi 18 from Libreeelec RR, I have this "music video" category right up front. So as shown and instructed, I added a source for it which is the folder "music videos".

But then although I want to just play this single folder, its not like it plays the videos from the folder.

It always just plays the single video I selected.

It never plays all the videos in the folder in a row.

Please help.

How is it supposed to work like this?

I just want to play all the files in the folder.

It can't be that difficult?!

v18 - problem to calling addon

I have my own addon which works like next airred but for German TV chanals.
With Kodi 17 everything works fine.
Cause of KODI 18 is final I installed it on my laptop for testing but I can't get it work under Kodi 18.

for the Widget part I call the addon

but under KODI 18 I allways get an Error

v18 - Fire TV with IPTV Simple Client addon crashing and using 130-400% CPU-Kodi

I got Kodi 18 from Kodi.tv and I have only added IPTV Simple Client, it has been setup with a favorite IPTV provider in regard to m3u, EPG and picons.

I have no other addons running and everything is standard.

I have disabled hardware acceleration.

After using Kodi 18 for a few days, it starts crashing some times on channel list loading and other times after 4-5 minutes watching.

I have tried to Clear cache in Fire TV Settings under Applications -> Kodi. I have also tried Clear data and installing IPTV Simple Client again.
It did not stop Kodi 18 from crashing.

I have tried to uninstall Kodi and installed it again. It seems a little more stabile now, however it still crashes some times.

I have tried to setup Debug logging, when watching a channel it says that CPU-Kodi is using between 130 to peaks of 300% and sometimes 400%.

Example: (from watching a channel)
MEM: 572652/1556104 KB - FPS: 60.5
CPU: #0: 54% #1: 56% #2: 86 #3: 89% (CPU-KODI 235.55%)

When it peaks around 300-400%, it will crash.

Please note I am not running anything else than IPTV Simple Client version 3.5.7.

My Fire TV CPU is a AArch64 Processor rev 0. My CPU temparature reads 63 C.
Total memory: 1519MB
Free memory: 595MB
Operating system: Android 5.1.1 API level 22 (kernel: Linux 3.10.61+), which is my latest Fire TV version.

It have tried to Enable notification event logging and got the following messages:
Error: GetDirectory - Error getting

Error: ffmpeg(1372): (h264) Reference 2>=2
Error: ffmpeg(1372): (h264) error while decoding MB 41 32, bytestream 16696

Error: ffmpeg(1374): (h264) co located POCs unavailable
Error: ffmpeg(1375): (h264) co located POCs unavailable

I have noticed a growth in Storage Data growing to 545MB from 52.95MB after installation and setup on addon and IPTV over time (app. two hours) and restarts.
That is a lot since Kodi 18 only takes up 138MB.

How do I limit CPU use, so that my Fire TV does not crash?

Can not update from 17 to 18 Ubuntu Trusty

Hi all.
I have Kodi 17 on Kodibuntu (Trusty).
Unfortunelly i can not upgrade kodi to Leia stable by apt-get upgrade kodi.
No error, nothing. 

This is what i trying:
apt-get update
....
apt-get upgrade kodi

NO COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE HELP NEEDED

I dont know if any one can help but I have the following set up which I bought in 2011 and want to update Kodi.  Here is what I have  I hope I have everything needed as I believe I updated it once before .   I know nothing of computer programming.

Kodi 15.2 Git:02e7013 (compiled Mar 1 2016)
Operating system
Open Elec (official) version 6.0.3 (kernel Linux 4.1.18)
CPU: Intel ® Atom ™ CPU D525 @1.80GHZ
Using Samba to distribute. Running this on a Acer VERITON  (NVIDIA ION) Intel Atom 

My thought is that I can just go into file manager (after putting the updated Kodi on a SDHC card) and HuhHuh  
I have gone to how to update Linux but the language used is for computer Knowledge people and not idiots like me.  I do have other Android devices  (g box from Matricom which I have successfully updated both the G box and Kodi to 17.6 but this has me stumped   any help is so appreciated.  I do believe that if I update my Open Elec it will update Kodi

v18 - Audio broken on Philips 65PUS7303/MT5891 since Update to Kodi 18

Hello there and thanks for taking the time to read about my issue(s)!

Here's the situation:

The setup:
I recently bought a Philips 65PUS7303, which seems to, according to the Hardware Tab in Kodi Settings, use a MT5891 SoC. The TV is currently on Android 7 (API 24).
I use a Yamaha YAS-105 Soundbar connected to the TV via TOSLINK as audio output.
I installed Kodi Krypton via PlayStore and updated to Kodi 18 when the official release became availabe on the PlayStore a few days ago.

My (relevant?) settings are as follows:
  • Number of channels: 2.0
  • Output configuration: Best match
  • Maintain original volume on downmix: True
  • Stereo upmix: False
  • Resample quality: High
  • Allow passthrough: True
  • Dolby Digital(AC3) capable receiver: True
  • Enable Dolby Digital(AC3) transcoding: True
(the rest of the passthrough options are disabled, since my receiver doesn't support it)
  • Adjust display refresh rate: Off
  • Sync playback to display: False
  • Enable HQ scaler for scalings above: 20%
  • Allow hardware acceleration - MediaCodec(Surface): True
  • Allow hardware acceleration - MediaCodec: True


The problem(s):
Kodi recently started to introduce microstutters and/or cracks into the audio. I didn't have this problem before with the exact same setup except the Revision of Kodi.
Whenever I play a video, the audio is fine for about 20 seconds, but afterwards it seems to pause for half a second and/or crack randomly for the reminder of the playback.
This happens on every video, 1080p or 4k, with more than 2 channels (I usually have source files with 5.1 and Dolby or DTS-MA).

I searched for hours upon hours and played around with about every relevant setting/solution I could find but ultimately the problem persists. It only appeared after updating to Kodi 18 (Additionally I have changed the channel number from 5.1 to 2.0 recently).

Attempted fixes:
  • Changing relevant settings
  • Cleaning cache of application
  • Rebooting

Notes:
  1. The described scenario is present in Log 1.
  2. When I enable "Sync Playback to Display" as mentioned in this post, the audio and video gets "hacked up", seemingly jumping around and "swallowing" frames. Changing the "Adjust display refresh rate" setting to True doesn't seem to have an effect. This scenario is present in Log 2.
  3. Kodi seems to detect my AndroidTV installation with a 1080p screen when a 4k display is present. Not sure if this is relevant for playback/these bugs or not.

Request - Play audio on (Kore) remote only..

I used the Roku remote ages ago, and it had a feature that was fantastic.

The remote itself has an audio jack. When you plugged in headphones, it would mute the TV and play audio through the headphones on the remote only. It was great for watching things and not disturbing those around you.

Is this feature available, or even possible, with Kore (or any app)? Plug headphones into your mobile device running the Kore app (Android/iOS) and automatically or manually mute the TV/monitor/etc.. and only have audio now playing through the Kore app to the locally connected headphones?

Netflix / Amazon Prime on RPi 3B using Raspbian Stretch?

Hi,

I also need node-red and mqtt running the RPi hence I was happy to find out that I could take the Raspbian Stretch minimal install and just install kodi from the raspbian repos and even happier when they got updated to Leia.

So I basically followed this guide:

tl:dr

Having installed all these I could install Netflix and Amazon Prima addons from these repos:

After that in addtion the following turned out to be missing:
sudo aptitude install kodi-inputstream-adaptive (which installs version 2.3.13)
sudo aptitude install libnss3

NOW the automatic install of widevinecdm.so worked and I could login to Netflix/Amazon Prime and start playing content.

is present and a symlink to

/home/pi/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.module.inputstreamhelper/cdm/libwidevinecdm.so

The only issue: I only have audio and subtitles, but the decoding of the video leads only to a green screen with random noise.
In the log it says

What is the technical name for a multi row widget with vertical menu?

First, what do you call the type of widget such as in Titan Beta Krypton vertical menu, where you can scroll up-down, left-right within one widget?

Does anyone know of any of these for Leia? Estuary mod v2 has what I described, and I love the design but it's a bit buggy and wanted to try some others, if possible.

v18 - Kodi Leia - playback issues

Hello,

I got a Xiaomi MiBox S today, and having installed Kodi Leia - I encountered a playback issue:

1. The issue consists of the video and audio being out of sync. The audio appears to be running in mostly normal time, but the video is very sped up (I suspect nearly twice as fast as it should be).
2. This issue is present only on one group of files (i.e. one TV show), other files from my library (which include different codecs, much higher resolutions etc.) appear to work fine. All files are stored on a local NAS, and are streamed over WiFi connection.
3. This issue is only present on the MiBox, I tried to play the same problematic files on a smartphone/pc (both running Leia) and the issue was no longer present.
4. I played around with settings concerning adjusting display refresh rate/sync playback to display, as well as switching the MiBox to a 1080p/24hz - no improvement.

v18 - Instructions to build game binary addons don't work (Linux)

Followed the instructions to build Kodi and binary addons (https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/master...ry-add-ons). Specifically, built Kodi with these commands:

cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local
cmake --build . -- VERBOSE=1 -j4
sudo make install

Then built the game addons with this command

sudo make -j4 -C tools/depends/target/binary-addons PREFIX=/usr/local ADDONS="game.*"

Everything appears to work, I enable the "2048" and "Mr Boom" addons, but I can't actually start them. In the log the following error is produced:

The .so files are under /usr/local/lib/kodi/addons/..., which is where make install put them. Where is Kodi looking for these files?

Change username - if possible

Hello, I started this account quite a while ago for a simple problem I had when I first entered the world of Kodi.
Now, after a few years, here I am again, and I can't find a way to change my username.

Searching here, I found that it's an operation that can only be done by an admin: would it be possible for me to have it changed into "DarkSphere00"?

I'm asking because I'm trying to finally unify all of my online accounts with the same username, and in particular the "AKER" part in "xdaAKER" is tied with an episode from the past which I'm not very fond of...
It's not a tragedy or anything too bad however, so if for any reason you prefer not to have it changed it's still going to be okay.

Bug - Cover Art not shown in Fullscreen mode

Hello,

first of all I have to say that I love the design of Pellucid. I would like to use the skin as my new default.
While testing, i discovered that the Cover Art in Music mode is not always shown correctly. If I browse to an album or a playlist and hit "enter" on a track and switch to fullscreen (now playing) mode, everything is fine. But when i go back, hit backspace multiple times until I am back in the main menu and then press Tab to switch to fullscreen mode, the default cover is shown (double eighth note) - not that in the file.

To be sue the image in the Tags is readable, i tested this also on Estuary skin - no problem there.

Linux - Update screwed the pooch

I just followed the instructions (yesterday) to upgrade from Kodi 17.6 to 18. I'm a moderately experienced user.

When I was done, I ran Kodi, and it was still 17.6. That was before rebooting.

After rebooting, it was totally absent. But I could run Kodi from Terminal. I tried to "reinstall", with the following issues:

TVHeadEnd 4.3 - Using a capture Card

I've got a Magewell 4k Pro capture card. I have managed to successfully install this on Ubuntu 18.10...The plan was to use this as I used the Hauppague Colossus 2 on a Next PVR build on Windows: the device was recognised as a signal source and I then used a C++ script I wrote to trigger channel changes from a Kodi front end and used an EPG XML file I also created to define the channel listings.

First issue I have though is that TVHeadEnd is not showing my device up as a TV card. When inquiring about hardware to use with TVHeadEnd a few months ago I was advised that if you could install the card via the Linux kernel then TVH could generally support it. Can anyone give me any advice on getting TVH to recognise my device? I've come a long way on this build and I would hate to fall at the final hurdle...

Kodi Leia - „show information“ in file mode not working as expected

Hello, in Kodi 17 the function „show information“ in file mode (for a video file with no information in the librabry) was starting the playback. Now in Kodi 18 the same function „show information“ opens the virtual keyboard to rename the file name. How I can change this back to play the video file as it was in Kodi 17? Thanks in advance.

Kodi 18 crashes when it scans a media directory

My Kodi 17 updated to 18. 
All media directory paths existed in v17.x ... Meaning nothing new, changed, or was added
When Kodi 18 installed it worked fine. After awhile I found it just 'exiting' when scanning a media directory on a NAS.
I removed the suspect media path and Kodi remained functional. 
Put the path in and I had about 4 seconds to stop Kodi before it crashed and existed.

It seems that a much needed 'check and catch on error' was not put in Kodi 18 as it never did this on Kodi 17

I narrowed the issue down to about 500 files in a media directory. 

What I don't understand is that Kodi 18 ran perfectly for a few days, and it would have scanned that directory when it first installed itself. 

I'm running the Windows x64 version of Kodi 18. Was running the x86 version of Kodi 17.6 (latest 17 release) 
Any ideas?

The site below I came across while looking for a new android box. I did not search for Kodi. They seem to have a whole site created to selling JAIL BROKEN android devices. I like being able to use KODI and the fact that the KODI team doesn't charge why should someone else. I am new to the forums. I'm not sure if I am posting this in the correct spot.
