Under the pre-defined channels configuration menu only 12 of my 37 shows are appearing. I ran this plugin early on then added more shows and it's not updating at all. I tried the "fresh start" and reinstalling the add on and all its dependencies. Where is it pulling this list of shows and how can I get it to update or regen?

Movie and TV shows Categories Now Right Side Aligned
Hello,
I'm finding that the Movie and TVshow Categories widget icons in Matrix are being pushed to the right side, causing difficulty finding the expected Category icons in both Movies and TVshows. This is causing the less computer savey people in my household to think that the Category icons they used to see and use are now missing. But in reality they are now pushed off to the left by the new "Next aired" and "In cinemas soon" icons that have taken priority over all the other Category icons. This is happening on all Kodi devices I own after enabling the show actor details option.
Since installing the Matrix 19 version of Kodi, and enabling the actor profile details feature (I believe it's the addon script.embuary.info) there is a new widget icon named "Next aired" in TVshows and "In cinemas soon" in Movies.
Once these new widget icons are present, the Categories list default to display to the right side end when Kodi starts, so that this new widget named "Next aired" is the most prominent in the TVshows Category. As apposed to displaying from the beginning, left side end, as they have always done in the past, and as one would expect, showing the very first widget icon named "TV shows".
We use the Categories section in TV shows often, and have even added my own custom category widgets by adding XML files to the \userdata\library\video\tvshows directory, as appears to be the typical way to add category widgets. But these new category icons, "Next aired" and "In cinemas soon" seem to be added in some other way I have yet to figure out.
Are other people experiencing this same issue? Is there some way to correct this so the Category lists show properly from the left? Is there some way that I can disable showing these two category widgets, without disabling the great actor profile info feature that "script.embuary.info" provides?

Trying to modify keymap for music playing controls
I want to add volume control and such while at point in Kodi on a selected song, but I have not been successful.
I have added this (excerpt) to keymaps in gen.xml file (at the operating profile):

Kodi Matrix v19.0. Interface Language = Eng.
Preferred Audio Language settings (in Player section) do not work on TV-Shows (as of 2nd episode played on auto-play).
I have a TV-Show with three languages. 1st=Eng, 2nd=Fre (default), 3rd=another language (not important).
Another TV-Show with Two languages. 1st=Fre (default), 2nd=Eng
Setting1: Preferred Audio Language=Media default, Prefer default audio streams = Yes.
All is good. Default audio language (i.e. French here) is played in all episodes (the first one manually selected and all the next auto-played ones).
Setting2: Preferred Audio Language=French. Tried both Prefer default audio streams = No/Yes.
First episode plays with audio language as per preferred setting. Any auto-played episode ignores default setting. Both TV-Shows are played with audio stream in Interface (Regional) selected language. Changed Interface language to something else and it plays well.
Why explicit language is overwritten (to my experience) from Interface language? Why that does not happen with default setting?
Any ideas?

Help install NextPVR
Hi, I seem to have lost my way installing the PVR :-(
HOW do I install the "Backend" for NextPVR on a PI4 with LibreELEC 9.2.6 and Kodi 18.9.0 ?
Everything I read just says to use the addon. There I can see 3.3.21.1, but that is the Client.
Even if I try to install that, I get "Addon couldn't be loaded" "Unknown Error"
Please.. This is driving me nuts!! :-(

Does Kodi support OpenHome (alternative to uPnP)?
Hello all
Thinking of putting Kodi in my Pi to replace moOde, but I'm wondering if it supports OpenHome as an alternative to uPnP, where the playlist is handled by the renderer (Pi) instead of the controller (e.g. smartphone), which in turn allows for gapless playback.
Is this something Kodi does or will do? I did some forum searching but the only posts I can find are from 2014, so very out of date.

Custop groups from URL
Hi,
since on some devices (such as Android) it is difficult for some users to write their Custop xml groups and put them in the specific folder where the PVR wants them and, since there is also no possibility to browse other paths outside the kodi folder , is it possible to get the xml of Custop groups from a URL?

Matrix bug system.platform.android

I think there is a bug in xbmc.getCondVisibility ('system.platform.android') for kodi 19 as it always returns False.
In my codes I solve it using the condition but in other parts of kodi like settings.xml it is not possible to do this.

Default Background Location?

Is the default "blue" background an image file or is it generated dynamically?
I'm having a problem with custom backgrounds not showing on some resolutions on the latest stable LibreELEC:

I wanted to try swapping out the default background with my image to see if that works. Although, if the blue color background is generated, that obviously won't work.

Script.Meta, works great still on my Kodi 18.9. I created a player for a4kstreaming add-on from a4k. I am able to get the player to work for movies, but not for episodes in my library or through the add-on. I used the a4ksreaming player for TmdbHelper for guide. For fun I tested it in OpenMeta add-on, and the player works for both movies and shows. both script.meta dn penmen are fairly similar as you know, but script.meta is so much faster. Hence the reason I wish ti continue to use it.

Where do I start debugging?
I am running Kodi on a RP4 with 4gig ram. All I do is play MKV movies from an attached HD. Some MKV files drop frames every few seconds, yet I can play the same movie on my RP3 with few to no dropped frames. Same hard drive, same movie. (Ripped from a DVD).

Cannot scan movie more than 4096 items
I have a collection of movies of more than 5000 in my nas. In my Android kodi, when I scan the movie using local movie information, the max number of movies it added to library is 4096 movies. I have another kodi (coreelec) which able to scan more than 4096 of movies.
This is a bit weird as 4096 is base 2 number. Is there any settings in Android kodi i need to change to allow scanning more than 4096 movies?

Rpi 2 OSMC ... and kodi on windows 10 :(
Hello guys, I have a question that I would appreciate if you help me clarify.
I have a raspberry pi 2 where I installed the OSMC and which is connected to the television and by network cable to the router.
I also installed a version of Kodi on the laptop (windows 10), which is connected to the same network but via wifi.
When I search for a movie, I see many more results and sources available on the laptop's kodi than on the raspberri pi.
Can anyone tell me why?
Can I do anything to resolve this situation?

How to attribute views in the menu ?

I would like to know how to assign a view for a menu link. I chose the Icon view for the movies and the LoveFilms view for the playlists (movie category) but when I select the views and lock this view, that also changes to the Movies link.
