Win - picture dosen't show but video plays (only problem with anime video)

hi new to forums, sorry if im posting in the wrong place, i have tried chnging the process acceleration som esay that i have to turn on DXVA2 but i dont have that option the only options i have are OMXPLAYER and MMAL. i only have problems with anime videos.

Bluray Folder messing up the Movies Library (scraper)

Hello,

  I have one Bluray folder in my movie source that is messing up the Movies library after the scraper runs. I named the folder following the instructions here https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_file...ay_Folders. Here is the main foder structure for this movie:

The.Devil.Wears.Prada.2006.1080p
- BDMV
- CERTIFICATE
- SLYVM

The problem is that Kodi is displaying all kids of crazy stuff after the movie scrapper runs:
- Lots of movies called 'The Last Playlist'
- Movie called 'The Certificate'
- Another called 'Kung Fu Hustle'
- Lots of movies called 'The Stream'

HDR NOT AUTO SWITCHING ON - SHIELD -BRAVIA X900F

Playing 4k remuxes with HDR in kodi on shield. Refresh rate switch to Always. All res whitelisted. Mediacodec surface disabled. Mediacodec enabled. Tv set to auto for hdmi (tried limited), auto hdr, auto colorspace.
Tried switchin from yuv 4.2.2 12-bit 2020 to 4.2.0 10-bit 2020. Refresh rate 59.4 in nvidia settings. Tried enabling auto colorimetry in dev options/restarted shield.
Anyone have any idea why content isnt being detected and switching automatically? Any options youd suggest me changing? Any help greatly appreciated im pullin my hair out over here trying to get this to work.
Also, if i just enable hdr on tv (bravia x900f) am i getting true hdr or is it just tricking me into thinking i am? Does it need to auto switch to display true hdr?

Oh i also saw a post where someone said the picture mode Standard allowed them to see changes automatically. I was jsing vivid but changing to standard and making sure options were on auto also did nothing. Supposedly picture mode shouldnt restrict this as long as options are on auto but that one person found it to be an issue. Just wanted to add I tried that as well!

Mysql library sync problem

hi all I'm kinda stuck ive set up Mysql 8.0 community server on fedora 28.

and im using Kodi 18.1

i created the user for kodi and did GRANT ALL On *.* TO 'kodiuser';

then i did

FLUSH PRIVILEGES

\q to quit

i sorted the advancedsettings.xml and put it in the userdata folder for kodi.

when i boot up kodi and i try to scan my media into my library nothing happens, even if i try to update the library at start up

have you any clue what could be going wrong

4K@60Hz

I have Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Intel i7-9700K CPU), and I know it and the motherboard both support 4K@60Hz, however under Ubuntu 18.04 all I see is 4K@30Hz and if I set a mode for 4K@60Hz with xrandr, all that ever happens is the TV goes black.  I know the TV can do 4K@60Hz because I have a Roku and an AppleTV that both can do 4K@60Hz.  So can anyone offer any suggestions where to look for an answer on this?

Need MusicPlayer.Content(liveRadio) boolean

That boolean doesn't exist, and I have been using !String.IsEmpty(MusicPlayer.ChannelName) but I'm wondering if that is ensured to work in all cases when live radio is playing?

VideoPlayer.Content(files) and VideoPlayer.Content(livetv) both true [PR13754]?

In doing some testing, I noted both of the VideoPlayer.Content bools are true when livetv is playing.  I went back and test Alpha 1, and only liveTV is true in that one, so maybe caused by the GUI refactoring?  Actually, it seems like VideoPlayer.Content(files) is set true by default and is only set false when something else gets loaded into video player (except that isn't happening for livetv).

Live TV

I've scoured the internet looking for Live US TV stations. We need them for when we camp but can't get OTA signals. None of the ones I have found seem to be reliable. To be clear I'm not looking for cable or satellite channels just plain old regular TV like CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox. Any points in the right direction would be appreciated. I have tried all the ones you can find anyone and everyone suggesting like Supremacy and Chronos.

I would like to say this skin is the best theme for KODI. But I can't figure out the Advanced Emulator Launcher cover issue, no thumbnails, onlycover image in list mode. So I beg for someone tell me anything about mod current skin for thumbnail support.

Music stop!

Hello, weird problem since the update to Kodi 18. On Kodi 17 i can play music with my tv close, can access the library and control the player via the Kodi Remote on my Ipad. Since the update, start the music player, and if i close the the, or change for another input, the music play for approx. 10 seconds then stop. Return to the input where my android box connect or turn on the tv,  the music re-start to play. If play music disconnect my HDMI, the music stop too. My android box connect to my tv via HDMI, and have a jack from the connector on the box, to my amplifier. 
Same connection, before the update and playing well, the only thing change since the update...its Kodi. Turn off the CEC on the android section, all screensaver or other thing on Kodi are turn off. And i forgot, when i turn off tv or change input, i cant access the box with the Kodi Remote. i would like to listen music without tv open.

Kodi v18.1 "Leia" OSD has some new audio controls.  OSD >> Settings >> Audio Settings >> "Downmix: Center Mix level

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the Downmix: Center Mix level. What does it do?

It's probably a setting I don't need to use but I hate not knowing what things do.

Could somebody please explain.

Rename file based on metadata

Hello,
I am aware that a lot of programs like filebot and advanced renamer can search online databases to find movie info. However, that creates a problem if for instance I have the 1957 12 Angry men instead of the 1997. I acquired a collection of 12,000 movies which all have the year in the properties of the file, but after hours of searching I can't find any program to rename based on embedded data rather than online. Can anyone help? Thanks

v18 - MKV chapters with separated files do not work

I have a series whose chapters have an introduction (opening), the chapter, credits (ending) and advancement
The files are separated, but they are shown as one by the file "chapters" in the MKVs chapters
In this way, the intro and the ending that are always repeated are loaded from the separate files and that memory is saved
In the VLC player this works, but in Kodi the files are shown individually without taking into account the others
Can I enable this option or download an add-on?

Help integrating colorbox script for blurring fanart

Hey guys, I'm working on a personal project modding the titan skin for Kodi Krypton with DSPlayer.  I'm really wanting to use blurred fanart backgrounds and from what I can gather the colorbox script is what I want/need.  

Since I'm more of a designer than a coder, I'm kinda lost as to how to go about using it.  I basically just want to have my background layered as such:

Fanart (Blurred)
A dark semi transparent overlay

ANY help would be greatly appreciated

Broken - Kodi restarts while navigating menu after upgrade to Libreelec 9.0.1

I have never had any issues like this before as soon as I upgraded to Leia, Kodi is restarting while navigating through the menus.  I searched for an answer for a few hours based on the log files but I could not seem to find a similar issue. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

Hey guys, to field off more questions related to Kodi 18 w/ tvOS, the biggest current problem is lack of the new buildsystem support: cmake.

The second problem is the lack of maintainers. Memphiz has done a fantastic job, but he doesn't have time to get it up and running.

We also need backporting from MrMC to add more new features.

v18 - Actor thumbnails are not downloaded during scrapping

Hi, I manually download the various artworks (poster/fanart, etc., but no actor thumbnails as I don't want to keep duplicate actor thumbnails) for movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062622/) and created a NFO file for it. The NFO file e has the following content:

All artworks worked fine except the actor thumbnails. I tried both TMDB scrapper and UMS scrapper, but none of them would scrap actors information (and the actor thumbnails) for the movie. If I added the actors element to the NFO file, like the following, the actor name appears, but no thumbnails for it.

I thought Kodi will use information in the NFO file, and for any information not exist in the NFO file, it will download from internet, but seems this is not the case. How can I ask Kodi to scrap the actor information?

BTW, I had "Download Actor Thumbnails" option enabled in Kodi settings. From the progress bar at the top right corner during the scrapper, it seems Kodi never queried internet to get information for the movie. The whole scrapping process was too fast.

Subtitles downloading in temp folder

After the upgrade to version 18.0 subtitles are no longer being downloaded in the same folder as video file (although settings say that they should) but are being downloaded in the temp folder under some "code" name (for example 89045.srt).

I have seen that this is happening on android but i'm using kodi on windows 10 1803 on which Kodi 17 worked flawlessly.

Any suggestions?
