I'm new to the Kodi community and it doesn'the seem to be working. I've seen posts about getting kodi from ppa but I need a walk through on how to do this. Can someone help me please?

Stuttering video playback 2
Hi Everyone,
I'm having issues with Kodi for the last two months when it comes to video playback. I can't play videos neither online nor local, it keeps freezing every second. The audio seems to work fine, but the image freezes and keeps buffering as if the video was been streaming on a bad internet connection.
I have tried everything from uninstalling/reinstalling to reconfigure the video settings and all.
I'm running Kodi on Mac OSX v10.9.5 Mavericks. I never had this issue before; I was using Kodi v17.1 I tried to upgrade to v17. 3 to see if the issue was solved, but it remained even with alpha v18.
Has anyone had this issue before and could solve it?

I got a second box and I'm wondering if there's a way to get the addon cloned from the first box to the second?

Best way to handle 16:9 content presented in 4:3?
I believe this movie is a 16:9 movie formatted for 4:3. Tons of black bars here. I can manually zoom but that's beyond the capabilities of the other family members in the house. Is there a way to have Kodi handle this automatically without messing up the native aspect of other content? Is there an easy way to crop the black bars without having to loose more quality in an already SD image like using Handbrake would do?

Video playback stutters
I am running Krypton 17.3 and have recently noticed a problem watching .mpg files recorded using MythTV running on a separate system.
I have been running xbmc/kodi on this h/w for many years playing back these types of files without a problem. I haven't changed any s/w or h/w recently other than stepping up from 17.2 to 17.3 and installing kodi-inputstream-adaptive.
The problem is intermittent and has occurred with several recordings - the picture begins to stutter and miss frames, the audio plays fine. Stopping and restarting playback sometimes fixes the problem.

Playback is fine initially then begins to stutter at 23:25 after a while I stop playback then restart at 23:38 and it plays fine to completion.
I hope the debug log has all necessary information, there are no addins configured and it's the std skin. If you require further info let me know.

Autoconnect to running Kodi
Hi, I would like to request an option to autoconnect to a running Kodi on the network. I have three Kodi installs, two STBs (one on Android and the other on LibreElec) and a Windows pc. I indistinctly use Kodi on one of them at a time and I always have to go to registered Kodi servers menu on Kore and select the one that is running. This may become unpleasant when I'm on my smartphone looking for something interesting on Youtube app and want to send it to Kore to play it on Kodi, so I send it but have to go to menu and select running Kodi and then back to Youtube app and resend in again.
So it would be nice to have that feature as an option, what do you think?

Video only paused when switching off TV or going to HOME screen
Some weeks back, whenever I pressed the HOME button or swichted off the TV, video playback was stopped. Some nightly changed that. Now it is being paused which in case of live TV via DVBViewer PVR Add-on means that timeshift recording is started, hammering the USB pen drive which is not what I want. Can this behavior be changed by the user or is the only way to achieve that by manually executing a stop before switching off the TV or going HOME?

Favorites or super favorites help??
I have a kodi preinstalled box and on newest update I can't seem to save tv shows to my "favorites" folder that's on my home page. When I hit the menu on the remote that would give me option to save as a favorite, it no longer shows and just gives me option to save to super favorites. I'm not sure how that works since imnew, but can someone tell me how tojust save to my "favorites" folder that's on my home screen?? Thanks for any help

Only see The Movie Database kodi scraper (OSX)
For some reason I only have the "Kodi: The Movie Database" scraper in my list of movie scrapers. The other scrapers I have installed in kodi don't show up at all.

Kiosk Mode Issue
Hi Marcel, I just noticed in the latest Titan Beta for Krypton 17, the Kiosk mode is not working, after enabled it, I am still able to change various settings, hope you find time to resolved this issue.

Problem with network in Beelink GT1 Ultimate running Kodi 17.3
I have a strange issue in my Beelink GT1 Ultimate Android box running Kodi 17.3
In my home network I have set up three kodi 17.3.
1. In Win10 - network works ok
2. In Xperia M5 smartphone running Android 6.0 - network works ok
3. In Android TV Box Beelink GT1 Ultimate - extremely slow connection
All in the same network with VDSL connection
Android TV Box Beelink GT1 Ultimate with the following specs:
DEVICE: Beelink GT1 Ultimate
Build: GT1_313MO
Android security patch level: August 1, 2015 Version: 6.0.1
Kodi 17.3 GIT: 20170524-147CEC4 Compiled: May 24 2017
VDSL Router:
Manufacturer:ZTE;

IP:192.168.2.1;

- Internet outside Kodi works ok (youtube, chrome etc)
- I tested the TV BOX in other Router/Connection and works ok
- In the TV box Kodi cannot even fetch the weather providers.
The question is why my two other devices work ok with kodi and not in the TV Box. Is there a setting in my router??

Dangerous cleanup behaviour can delete whole movie folder
I'm using tinyMediManager 2.9.3.1 on Win 10 (newest updates included).
I had a movie file in the main folder "Western". Because I had it twice, I deleted it. Then I was really surprised - the whole "Western"-folder was gone, including over 50 movies, tinyMediManager cleaned it completely up.![Undecided]( "Undecided")
So, first of all I was looking for some other missing movies in other locations. Also my whole "Cartoons"-Folder was no more available.![Frown]( "Frown")
I got almost panic.
Fortunately I found the Folder ".deletedByTMM".![Blush]( "Blush")
Everything was still there.![Cool]( "Cool")
So I felt very happy to be able, to recover all missing files.
So be carefull, if you delete some movies, not correctly sorted into subfolders. Check first, that your subfolders are still available ...

The RSS feeds for the release of new and updated addons seems to be no longer valid.
The feeds used to be:

Kodi source problem
Hello.I have a Minix Neo U1.
I'm on the latest Kodi release.I have 2 external wd hdd's that i use.One is for TV Shows ,One for Movies.I had them connected simultaneously on the minix.I added 2 separate sources and named them Tv Shows and Movies respectively.I did scan for new content and downloaded fanart etc.I plugged them off to add content from my pc,only to find out that all contents were mixed on both drives.Most were duplicated.I sorted them out,did a cleanup on the kodi without them connected.I connected them only one at the time now to add as source.Movies are ok.I unplugged Movies and did the same for TV shows.I'm afraid to plug them both at the same time in case everything gets mixed up again.Is there a way to avoid this?Thanks!

"Windows Network SMB" and Windows 10 insider Preview Build 16226 Problem!
Is anyone having issues with "Windows Network SMB" in Kodi 17.3 running on Windows 10 insider Preview Build 16226?
On all my computers that are running Windows 10 insider Preview Build 16226 Kodi can not find any of my computer shares when using "Windows Network SMB". It just comes up blank.
Anyone know how to fix this?

How to turn off codec only for spesific streams like ts? Any Idea?
Hello. In Kodi Android it have Codecs to turn on. When I turn on them I'm unable to play windowed mode. Gets Black and Audio Only.
