Firetv Library will not update
Trying to wrap my head around my new Firetv. Really like a lot of things about it but having some issues.
The most serious issue is I cant get my newly added movies to scan and show up in the library. Every time I click on update library while in movies it says "scanning using The movie database" and shows 0%. And then after about 20 seconds it stops and the scanning in the top corner disappears.
I tried switching from TMDB to universal but for some reason universal wont 'stick' when I choose it.
Ive searched and googled and nothing.
Any ideas? Thanks

re: Persons Selling "fully loaded" boxes, ect.
Ok, so I read the forum rules and also the main page closed thread about how people selling the pirate boxes and YouTubers
are dragging the Kodi name through the mud.
I would like to know just what KODI is really meant for, IF , it is not meant to circumvent cable companies and Hollywood Movie makers, ect, ect,
Would you not agree that 80% of all XBMC/KODI/Andoid boxes sold are in fact designed to achieve Free Tv ?
Please enlighten and educate me so that I know enough to have a serious discussion with the persons in my area selling HUNDREDS of Andoid boxes
loaded with KODI ( and stuff that is illegal ) . These guys are making Thousands of dollars weekly.
Then there is the subject of the Chinese manufacturers designing the boxes to achieve the best possible Live Streaming content avail.
I am in nooo way being a smart ass. After reading the main forum page post about " Piracy " and loaded box " resellers I have the desire
to know ALL the facts.

Remote Button Issue
I use a Harmony 650 along with Libreelec and WMC Add-on
When viewing my recordings, the buttons I have programmed to go to other areas of Kodi do not work.
They do work in all other areas of Kodi.
I have the Exit button programmed to take me to the main screen and it does work properly when viewing the list of recordings. Then I can press my other shortcuts to get where I want (for example movies).
It's only one extra step but it bugs me that this one thing doesn't work as I expected.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Would someone that has the repo comply with: To be clear - if the repo is cleaned up and the download folder or the second repo in it is removed then this thread can be reopened. But at the moment the repo contains a method to install a banned addon (wiki) and so is in itself banned. As this thread and its predecessor contained links to (and requests for) the repo then it has been closed.
Alternatively the add-on can be submitted to the official kodi to for possible inclusion there. Details on Submitting Add-ons (wiki) can be found on the wiki.
Hopefully we can get off to a better start. Clean the repo up> Submit to either mod> If approved> upload to Github>Share Link with community.

I found my old Kodi install and copied my old keymaps file in.

UltraWide Monitor Problems
So I have a UltraWide 21:9 monitor (2 actually).
Im using a Skin called FTV (Fred Edition) which is designed only for 16:9 - now I can bare using it with its slight stretch but it would be nice to use it with proper compatability for 21:9 mainly because when its stretched the Poster sizes on the Widgets tend to make it more square so it hides some of the image and most of the time hiding so much that I cant even see the title.
Is it possible to run the UI of Kodi in 16:9, but when a video is playing make the video the full size of the monitor 21:9 which will only stretch out if the video's aspect ratio itself should be stretched. Lets say its playing a 16:9 video - dont stretch it but if its playing a 21:9 video then stretch it. You know?

Replacement software for karaoke?
Hi All, I know that karaoke feature has been removed for Jarvis, which is sad because my family really enjoyed it.
My question is does anyone know of a good karaoke software replacement (For Windows). I am looking for software that would allow me to navigate using my Harmony remote.
My thought was programming a alt-tab button on the remote to toggle between Kodi and the karaoke software.
I have search the internet but I can't seem to find a software that is HTPC friendly.

Moving Files from a Server onto the External Hard Drive of an NVidia Shield TV
I am currently using ES File Explorers Remote Manager to move files from my server to the external Hard Drive of my Nvidia shield. But I am finding that lots of the larger files are failing before they are completed, and I believe this to be caused by accessing the hard drive from within Kodi while the transfer is still happening, and I am hoping for an alternative way.
Is there an add on that I can use within Kodi to gain access?

Do not scrape movies anymore the last time found no information for?
How could one make Kodi leave out all items for the next times after it once has scraped them and not has found any movie / series information to shorten the scraping time?

Need help: music stutters when Kodi runs in background
Hi,
Did some search but couldn't find an answer, would appreciate any help.
Running Kodi on Minix U9, Android 6.0.1.
All is smooth when Kodi is in the foreground, but when I hit the Home button to go back to the main Android screen while Kodi is playing in the background, the music is stuttering and audio is chopped. When I go back to Kodi - all is back to normal and playback is smooth.
This is not a CPU problem and it does not happen with other music apps (like TuneIn or Apple Music).
Any idea what could cause this and how I can try to tackle it?

What equipment do I need for Winegard satellites?
Hello,
I'm new to this forum,and I apologize if I posted this question in the wrong place.I was wondering what equipment I would need in order for Kodi to work with a Winegard durastat d4 antenna.It would be perfect for my truck,but I would like to be able to plug the coax directly into my android device using a USB adapter so that I can record my shows while using that android device.
Do I need a specific kind of receiver for this,or can I simply run the coax into the android or pc and install the kodi software?

Trying to get Jarvis 16.1 back!!!!
Hi all
New to all this so I am not exactly tech savvy with kodi/ android.
Installed krypton 17.3 to my android sumvision x4 box (version 4.4.2) and it ran really slow- looks like I need android 5 or above?
The question is can I get Jarvis 16.1 back?
I've tried directly downloading from kodi website under older versions but only 17 is there. Also tried other sites but receiving an OBB error!
Need some help please?!?!?

I am adding DVD's to Kodi with an external hard drive. After adding them I get a message saying "this file is no longer available would you like to remove it from your library?" What am I doing wrong?

Will the Amazon FireTV 4k output Atmos and DTS X?

After browsing through a few threads and getting slightly confused I thought I'd just ask the question![Smile]( "Smile")
. Does the Amazon FireTV 4k box (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Fire-TV-...ds=fire+4k) output a full Atmos and DTS X soundtrack?
I really need a box that covers Netflix, maybe Amazon media and also Kodi. I dont plan on upgrading to 4k for a while so HDR isnt really and issue for me at the moment. I have recently upgraded my amp and sound setup to cover Atmos and DTS X (both which sound amazing) and I was hoping that the firetv 4k will do this.
