Updated from 12.1 to 12.2 lost ALL settings!

I'm assuming that updating from 12.1 to 12.2 should not have caused all my settings to be lost. This is true across Confluence and Aeon Nox.

What's even stranger is the file date of the xml settings files (advancedsetting, guisettings, etc.) indicate no change was made.

I backed up Appdata\Roaming\XBMC before updating. Can I simply copy the userdata folder back?
