I win a Windows 7 XBMC machine that does everything, CouchPotato, SickBeard, SABNZBD, Steam, Transmission so it's kinda an all in one. My roommate wants me to build her one just for media playback so I'm thinking OpenELEC. It seems OpenELEC will negate that whole 'Windows deciding to change focus to some little warning or something or other' and she's a Linux nerd so she'll enjoy SSHing into the thing to tinker with it.
However, how big do I need the install drive to be? I have a 20GB 2.5HDD salvaged from an Xbox 360 that I was thinking of using, it couldn't possibly be useful anywhere else, but will 20GB be big enough for even the largest collection of thumbnails and metadata? plus OpenELEC. I just want to be sure here.
