xbm.Monitor extensions

Would it be possible to extend the xbmc.Monitor with a few simple methods? I was thinking:
-onDatabaseUpdateStarted
-onDatabaseUpdated (already exists)
-onDatabaseCleanStarted
-onDatabaseCleanen

Edit: perhaps I should have posted in the service addons section? Not sure..
