I got a Linux headless server running Ps3MediaServer at home. It detects my Kindle Fire running XBMC Android as XBMC client.
Each detected client has a config file in which I can configure the screen size, so it will automatically transcode the media to the apropriate size (1024x522, in this case).
Howerver, I'm thinking about building another box (probably a raspi) just to run XBMC to the HDTV, and I'd like the Ps3MediaServer to differentiate between the 2 of them, as the screen sizes will be very different. I'm afraid, however, it will also be detected as XBMC client, and they will share the same config.
Question: How can I change the XBMC UPNP renderer "name" on either XBMC instance, so I can have 2 different config files at the Ps3MediaServer?
Thanks!
