openELEC Library load time

I have about 700+ movies and it takes a good 10-15 seconds to load the movie list. And even once loaded it take about 10 seconds for all the movie posters to be populated.

Is this just a limitation to the Pi's or is there anything i can do to speed up the load time (or at a min find a way to put in a "loading" spinner)
