Is Creative SB X-Fi USB any good for XBMC?

Hi,

I am missing HDMI input on my receiver so I need to get optic out on my XBMC computer.

I have found the receiver Creative SB X-Fi USB, will this work? Or will I miss out on anything?

I have also seen the Sweex SC016/DeLock USB Sound Box 7.1 but that do only got 16 bit sound while creative are 24 bits.
