Hi,
I have a INTEL DC3217IYE NUC with 8 GB ram and so far no SSD. I do however have a USB SanDisk Secure Digital Extreme Pro 8GB 45 MB/s that was intended for openelec a long time ago.
The question is if there is any version of XBMC that will run fine on a USB 8 GB or If you really should get a SSD?
The Intel NUC will be connected to a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro (External soundcard to get optic out) so the XBMC version should suport this.
All the media is located on a Windows LAN(SAMBA) and the INTEL NUC will be connected with wire.
BestRegards
