send log to server ?

I've searched forum+wiki but can't find an answer to what I thought was a relatively simple question:

is there any way to send log events to an external syslog server ? (external to the device on which xbmc runs but on the same LAN)

context: I'm running xbmc on an AppleTV and would like to send the log events to a syslog server running on my main PC.
