Remote stopped working in win7

I got a serious problem with my remote (came with techsolo 2200 case) in win7
After disconnecting/connecting the hardware (i had to insert a case fan), my remote stopped working
No cables are loose inside..
I dunno whats wrong
When i try to use the remote in win7/xbmc, it doesnt do a thing, although it receives the signal (cause the red light is lightning up)
However trying to start/power off the machine (outside windows environment) it just works...

Very strange!
When i installed the machine for the first time.. i didnt have to make any changes in bios or windows 7..
Nor did i change it now...
Theres no hardware conflict either in windows...

Any help is appreciated!
