I setup a home screen in Kodi for TV Shows.  Widget 2 is recently added episodes.  It works fine. No complaints. Also, movie widgets are fine.

Widget 1 is for all my TV series.  I use Emby Next-Gen.  I setup Widget 1, by selecting addons->videos addons->Emby for Kodi Next-Gen-> Dynamic Nodes (or Synced Nodes)-> TV Shows-> TV Shows.  I then select "Panel Extended".  The remainder of the settings are personal preference.  I've toggled them all with no effect on the issue I am describing here.  Except for one (more later).

The resulting widget using Dynamic Nodes only displays the first twenty-five TV series.  If I go back to the widget settings and change the widget "Limit to" value to 100, I can get it to display 100 TV series (it was set to 'none' when it displayed 25).   If I go back to the widget settings and use Synced Nodes, it will display all of my TV series, however when I select a series and open it, I only see a number where the episode title should be, that number seems to be ID number that range from 0 to 9999.

As it stands, I can only see the first 100 TV Series in this widget or I can see all of them, but not the episode titles. As a sanity check I switched over to the Embuary Skin as suggested on the Emby Support page, here.    A user there was having the same issue five years ago.  The problem does not exist on Embuary and as indicated in the Emby Support page, this means its not an issue with Emby.  A 'regular' user there, suggeted the following:

I believe he is referring to the Synced Nodes showing an (ID) number as opposed episode titles. Help!?

I'm looking for a good PVR (Personal Video Recorder) add-on. There is PVR_IPTV_Simple_Client, but there appears to be no real timer function (yet). The comment states ""In the future releases the developer plan on implemented support for timers and maybe the possibility to pause streams." Are there any other PVR/DVR add-ons available, possibly from external developers, where I can specifically timer-record programs? Or possibly with other IPTV players or add-ons?

So, I've had a problem with playing some livestreams for quite some time, where the video lags and the audio desyncs immediately. I'm using LibreELEC on a Pi4.

Today I narrowed it down to 60FPS streams. I have this same problem on Twitch if I select 60fps streams, and over there I've ended up just manually selecting non 60FPS video qualities.

For Youtube videos, even when the player itself only shows "720p60" and doesn't offer a 30fps option, Kodi will play it at 30FPS, but for streams, it will sometimes force it to 60fps for anything above 480p.

If I understand it correctly from reading other threads online, what might be happening is that the video is 60FPS, but the system is interpreting the audio as 30FPS somehow? And the lag/desync is because it's trying to match the video and the audio? I'm not sure if that makes sense but I don't really know how the system works for streaming.

I was originally going to post this in the Youtube addon, but I realized that since it happens in Twitch too, it's not just a problem with that one addon. If this would be more appropriate for the YT thread please let me know and I'll repost it there.

Is there anything I can do to make the 60FPS streams play properly? I don't actually care if they're in 60FPS, so if there's some ability to ignore every other frame or something that would be perfectly acceptable, I'm just not sure what else to try to make this work. I feel like I've tried just about every combination of settings, but there are a lot of settings in Kodi that I just don't understand...

I use TinyMediaManager to scrape movies and TV, like I have been for almost 2 years with zero issues. Suddenly Kodi has decided not to scrape media with local info, even though it can play it and even display correct artwork using the file manager, but it just won't scan it to library.

Not using tmm/another program just isn't an option because of shows I watch with different orders for aired vs DVD release etc.

When I see a film with multiple audio stream, I have to do several (at least 5) steps to switch from an audio stream to another one.
There is not a quick way (customizing the Octagon sf8008 remote control, i.g.) to toggle audio stream (with one step)?

Having the option to change the default action of the exit button.
Most of the times people need it to close kodi, sometimes to close the computer/streamer.

It would be great option to choose for each user the option he/she needs.

Pipe dream but here'shoping. The coreelec team achieved this via some few code changes in the kernel. So was hoping if some of you experts can look into this and see if it is possible. It will be great if it can be achieved.

Hello,
I have an AppleTV 4k 3rd Gen with TvOS 16.6 and i've installed on it Trollstore 2 via Misaka 5.3. I want to permanently sign Kodi 20.5 for TvOS (.ipa file that i compiled from original deb file from Kodi site) but when i want to install it, it give's me error 175. Any chances to make Kodi for TvOS compatible with Trollstore 2 installation? Or if There is any workaround, anything...

Hi there,
I would like to remove rounded corners from posters in panels within the Arctic Fusion theme from Jurialmunkey. I found an older post from him saying he uses textures with rounded corners using alpha and then he applies transparency using a colordiffuse. I couldn't find it in the xml files myself yet and didn't get any reply elsewhere, unfortunately.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Is it possible to deactivate chapter skipping in KODI 21? Sometimes I press the up button on the remote control once too much and - poof - a chapter in the film is fast-forwarded. This can lead to spoilers and is extremely annoying. I'm happy with fast-forwarding and rewinding by pressing right or left. But I don't want to navigate in chapters with up and down. Is it possible to switch this off completely and permanently?

Hi,

I'm trying to strip down Estuary to make a skin that just allows playing the videos and showing the pictures that are present on the local hard drive.  Some things have been easy to find and remove, but the "+ Add pictures" and "+ Add Videos..." options are eluding me so far.  The debugger shows them as Focused: 55 (fixedlist) in MyPix.xml and MyVideoNav.xml, and I found View_55_Widelist.xml and some items in there that I can mess with visibility of the image and label, but even when they are invisible the control is still active...

Does anyone know of a way to de-activate that add media functionality, either in the skin or through other configurations?

Hi,

I use Kodi wtih the latest version and a MYSQL database (MariaDB10 @ Synology). In general everything works well and the performance is good. I only have one error and it is independent from the Kodi client. I checked it with Windows and Android (NVidia TV shield).

Error: I have an Archive NAS, where I save old TV shows that are not shared. From time to time I move a show to the active share for Kodi. After moving these files, I run a new search at the kodi box to update the DB. Yesterday I moved CSI (15 seasons with 335 shows). After I run the "find new files" at Kodi (windows), only season 1-9 was added. And from season 9 the last show was also missed. 

To resolved that error I must move season 10-15 out of kodi, re-run the update and add it again. After runing the update again, all seasons are showing in Kodi exept S09E24.
To remove S09 do not resolve the problem.

To resolve that problem, I must move S09 out of Kodi and delete the S09 entry out out MySQL. (MyVideo121->path). After that I added S09 to kod and make a rescan. That brings all shows (including S09E24) to Kodi.



The question that I have is, is this a MySQL tuning/setting problem or a Kodi problem. I assume ist an MySQL because that happen with Andriod and Windows Kodi as well.

Hello,

the nice people from the Windows forum told me, that this forum might be able to help me better.
I'm using an old Wetab tablet (x86, 2GB) with Windows 8.1 and the newest Kodi 20.5. Everything works fine, except the video is showing only one color,
means the background is e.g. green, when the movie is mostly green. This single.color background is changing when the main color in the movie is changing. 
Audio is working fine. The preview thumbnail is build and shown correctly.
I tried every combination of the video setting (windowed or fullscreen, delacing, buffering, ... you name it).
The same movie plays well when I use VLC on the same machine. 
I put the log file here: cequhekiga (paste)

Every idea what I do to get this running is very much appreciated.

Hi,

For a long time I have a problem that the TV show info from the Tmdb always is in English, even if I set it in Dutch in the scraper setting.
This is only for TV shows, the info for the movies is all in Dutch.

It's the same problem as in this topic, only for me the solution (rescraping the libary) does not work, and it's only for the TV shows:

I have tried all the available scarpers in Kodi, and I have removed the libary and rescraped everything multiple times, but it will not change to Dutch.
And I have reinstalled Kodi 2 times, the problem is the same every time.

Hi Folks,

Having a very strange, never-before seen glitch on pretty much every Kodi build from Leia all the way to Omega.

Hardware:
Running on Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (latest build: 23H2, build # 22631.3296) with all latest updates installed. Running on a laptop (MSI Prestige 13Evo A13M, with a Core i7-1360P, Iris Xe integrated graphics, and 32GB LPDDR5 SDRAM Quad channel @ 4800 MHz. Outputting video to an external monitor (Epson EX9220 projector) @ 1080p 60Hz, 8-bit depth, RGB color format, Standard Dynamic Range.

Glitch description:
When I'm playing any video, whether a local file or from the web, and the Kodi window is active, either maximized or in full screen, the Windows lock screen appears (i.e. the computer automatically "locks up") after about a couple minutes, but the video keeps playing in the background. It's pretty annoying since I have to constantly unlock the screen with fingerprint/pin/passcode to continue watching.

Things I have tried with no luck:

On the Windows side: I have already tried disabling screensaver and dynamic/auto lock, disabling auto sleep, disabling screen time out, switching off any battery saving mode and switching to full performance mode.

On Kodi settings: I have disabled hardware acceleration (as I have heard some issues with windows 11 hardware acceleration)

Anyone knows what's going on? I have been using Kodi and it's working for me on other Windows 10 laptops and pretty old desktops for years and I've never had this issue

Hi, I was at the master from March 15th so far. I then installed the master from March 17th, which is also running. However, Kodi's system information now says V22 Alpha1
However, I would like to stick with V21 Omega for now. Are there no more Nightlys for V21 now? If there are any, I can't find them.

Hello all. I am trying to fill a container with dynamic data. I've read through all https://kodi.wiki/view/Skinning and Add-on Development for days but i can't find the solution. I've also read through this very old Thread: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=176864&page=11 named "HEADS UP: Filling a list from a directory/plugin".
This is how far i came up to now:
Inserted a new "Menu Point" in Home.xml to <control type="fixedlist" id="9000"> and added a new <control type="group" id="31000"> section to it with a list: <control type="list" id="52">.
This list with ID 52 is filled by a plugin that i wrote via <content target="videos" limit="20">plugin://plugin.video.mybox/</content>.
This works. This works very well, i can see all my content The problem is, it is only filled once at Kodi startup when the Home.xml is rendered. And so i searched for days for a solution to periodically/dynamically update it.

So the simple question is, what is the best/normal way to update such a Container/List?

What i tried so far:
Extending my Plugin with point="xbmc.service" that runs in background and updates the data. The service works well, gets the data from the API, but i tried two ways to update that List with ID 52, both failed:

First i tried to set properties with xbmcgui.Window(10000).setProperty(....) because i found an other old post: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...ight=panel.
Here, in the XML File the content is included via these "environment" variables that you set with setProperty to a Window. He is using:

to bind these "environment" variables with a count. Thats great, i just don't know if my <itemlayout> has only 2 pictures with <texture> tags how to address them:

The other thing i tried is to use the Service to edit the List with ID 52 and xbmcgui:

Trying to edit (delete first item) from the Home.xml List. But Kodi crashes trying to do this.
Would it be possible if i used xbmcgui.addControl() to add the List instead of using the Home.xml to create the List that was filled by <content>PluginUrl</content> before?

If anyone could help me out, i would be very thankful Thanks for any hint or direction to go. I've just started developing Kodi Addons.
