Tiny Media Manager rename with HDR

Good afternoon,

Like the title says, I would like to rename movies with HDR or No HDR, even better would be, Vison, HDR1000, etc etc.
Is it possible? and if yes, could you tell me how? 
At the moment i use TMM, I got it to work with filebot but I prefer TMM.

tinyMediaManagerCMD best command line switches?

I would like to be able to load TV shows as I get them into their season folder and have them scrapped and renamed as I have setup in TMM.  I am experimenting with tinyMediaManagerCMD and tried

-updateTV -updateMovies -scrapenew -rename

This didn't do much other than show a bunch of progress on the screen.  The new series episodes never got scrapped or renamed.

I'd also like to have any movies that I add to the scanned folder scraped and renamed as well.

Can someone help me with a switch setting that might accomplish this?   Do I just run this every 10 minutes or is there a different way to have it automated?

Atlas is designed to be a minimalistic, elegant and intuitive 10-Foot UI for Kodi. I have been working on this project for quite some time, and attempted to keep simplicity and efficiency at its core. The skin features dedicated sub menu HUB's designed for easy and intuitive media organizing and navigation.

  1. Download ZIP file.

COMPATIBILITY
Atlas is currently compatible with Kodi 18 Leia.

DEPENDENCIES
  • script.skinshortcuts version 1.0.0 or higher.

PLANNED UPDATES
  • Expand number of media views - Currently the skin features two views(the list-view and the poster-view).
  • Implement proper PVR support - PVR support is currently very lacking. I do not use this feature myself, making it difficult to implement.
  • Bookmark support
  • Customizable home widget - The main menu widget is "static" atm, i might also add the possibility for more than one widget in the future.
  • Better music views - I do not use KODI for music myself, making it difficult to implement. Suggestions are welcome

Simplest skin for elderly people

Hi,
I am putting together a Kodi on Rpi for my mother. She has real hard time with all the tech stuff, so I would like to keep it as simple and clean, intuitive as possible. LiveTV is importan, movies, tv shows. Nothing else. Using tv remote with cec.

What skin would you recommend?

Control several android Kodi instances from one Windows PC/iPad?

I have a custom setup where several android boxes with Kodi should be controlled from one Windows computer (they all hooked up via ethernet), or if possible - from iPad, which is connected to the same network via wi-fi.
Or I can imagine, maybe, running virtual keyboard (Air Keyboard or alike on iOS) on iPad, which will have wireless connection to PC and send keystrokes/kb combos which will trigger actions on PC, which in turn will control android boxes.

You can think of it as a couple of classes (with different educational materials being projected in each) and in need centralized but separate control for each kodi instance from handheld device or PC. What would be the best solution in such case? What software to use?

v18 - edl for strm files

Hi,

My directory listing is:

Va.edl
I can play 00001.ts, and the commercials are skipped (as expected). Also playing 00002.ts works fine, the commercials are skipped.

But, if I play Va.strm, the commercials are not skipped Sad .
The content of Va.strm is:
Quote:stack:///video/Vanilla_Sky/2017-04-17.20.12.21-0.rec/00001.ts , /video/Vanilla_Sky/2017-04-17.20.12.21-0.rec/00002.ts
So the files 00001.ts and 00002.ts are played.
What can I do to get the commercials skipped while playing Va.strm?

v17 - How to disable thumbnails view and hide filters for genre, year, actor, etc?

Kodi 17 on an Nvidia Shield 2018 with no add-ons downloaded or enabled beyond what came with the build.
  • Enabled navigator options are Movies, Music and Pictures; all others are hidden via Settings / Skins
  • All source material sits on two NAS devices within my home network and in hierarchical structured folders that makes anything very easy to quickly find
  • My family and I never use any of the filters or library features to find what we what to stream, and always do so manually by climbing up and down the folders
  • This means that the Pictures option works exactly how we want, with the (five) root folders directly displaying on the righthand pane.  Great
  • Movies and Music is not so great because the righthand pane is covered with library thumbnails of which we have no interest - and which my family find confusing; all of us prefer that the righthand pane works exactly like for Pictures.  No thumbnails and no clutter from filters like Genre, Titles, Year or Actor.  Just a boring list of file names starting with the root folders for the way I have categorised my material.

How to do, please?

(Edited to add that even if I cannot do what I would like, Kodi on the Shield easily wins my Best Theatre Software and Hardware Combo Ever, award.  I've been blown away with it.  Top Job, those who contribute.)

how to show the movie recent added in custom window

Hi guys,

I created a custom page which I want to show the movie recent added on it, I did it and I showed the recent added but the movie is not there only show in home page.

I edited the IncludesHomeRecentlyAdded.xml to be matched with custom list ID instead of list ID in home page but still cannot see the movie icon.

I noticed that the movie db is related in home page but if I want to matched with custom page didn't work.

What other file I have to edited to get my case?

Up date Kodi on Amazon Firestick

Hi

Can any one help please (I'm as thick as two short planks so your advice and help will need to take me through the process step by step)!

I have an Amazon Firestick which came preloaded with stuff including an old version of Kodi

Before loading latest Kodi version, do I need to uninstall current version and any addons which may well be illegal if so, how?

Tried to install latest Kodi following Kodi instructions but could not proceed beyond section 11 having checked my address is set up as default in my Amazon online account?

I have never set up anything in the My Account section shown on the Firestick menu, when I viewed this, its says :- Hello Test 3 with a side note - Deregister your Amazon Account and register a new one with another option shown “Sync Amazon Content with a side note – Sync your purchased Amazon content?

Should I deregister and re- register as per my online Amazon account?

v18 - Kodi times out waiting for USB hard drive to spin up on Shield

I have a USB hard drive attached to my Shield for OTA recordings.  The hard drive spins down after about 10 minutes.  When I attempt to watch a recording on the drive while it is spun down Kodi will time out before the hard drive spins up.  It isn't a big deal since I just try again and it works.  
Is there a way to set the time longer so Kodi doesn't time out?

Kodi not saving "watched" state for some TV files

After watching some TV episodes, the episode's "watched" flag appears in the list view, but after navigating away from the episode's directory then returning, the "watched" flag is gone. This only happens for some series, usually those that have been on the system for a long time. If I remove the series from the library and re-add it, the problem no longer occurs.

This is happening on a stock installation of LibreElec (Krypton) 8.2.5 on a Raspberry Pi 2B, but also occurred with a previous OSMC installation (Jarvis & Krypton) on the same RPi, and also on a Windows 10 PC. All machines use a shared MySQL 5.5.59 Kodi database running under Raspbian on a separate RPi 3B, which is doing double duty as a Samba server for my media files. Since the issue occurs on multiple Kodi clients on different machines and architectures, I'm guessing that something is misfiring with MySQL.

I'm seeing an update query in the log for the files table (below) which seems to be working, but don't see any similar queries for the episode_view table (which seems to be where the episode's playCount and lastPlayed are saved), either for episodes that save or don't properly save the "watched" state.

v18 - TMDB Scraper not scraping movies with (YYYY) suffix

Hey Guys,

Tried to rescrape my movie library today using TMDB. Weirdly enough it managed all movies except those with a year as a suffix e.g. Star Wars (1977).mkv

When pressing I to try and manually scrape it i get no information found for any of the movies with a suffix.
All other movies are fine and pressing I on those lets me do a more manual scrape.

I'm running LIbreelec Kodi 18 beta 3.

Any extra information that's needed please let me know.

Driving me crazy trying to work out why this isn't working.

Kodi on Shield TV and Synology NAS

So I have this combination for a while now and everything worked perfect. Last week (what seems to be after an update of Synology's DSM) - kodi started to be VERY slow...

It looks like something went wrong with the NFS but I just can't put a finger on what nor what should I do to fix it.

This is a snippet from the log:

SDCARD Access on Chromebooks?

I just noticed that Kodi on Chromebooks can not find the SDCARD that is on my chromebook. I went to add a new source and it only shows internal memory. I know chromeos was given the ability to add sdcard reading to applications, is there any way to implement that in kodi?

Directory Channel Randomness Issues

Hey all. So I'm building out a few channels that emulate retro television networks. For example, I have a 'Nickelodeon" channel that plays old Nickelodeon shows via a Smart Playlist in Kodi. I also have two folders on my local HD that have commercials and bumpers in them. They are not in my Kodi library. I have both the "commercials" and "bumpers" set as a hidden directory channels. I have PseudoTV set up to interleave these channels so after a show is played, it plays 1 bumper, 3 commercials, 1 more bumper. and then the next show. This is all working correctly.
 
However, it seems as though they keep playing the same handful of commercials and bumpers, despite the fact there are over 300 available to pick from. I have them set to random play as well. The TV shows themselves work perfectly.
 
Is there something I am missing, or a better way to set this up? I would make smart playlists for both the commercials and bumpers in Kodi itself, but it doesn't seem to work since they are not in my Library(and there's no info to populate them with anyway). I tried using a regular m3u playlist made with Kodi, but PTV doesn't seem to recognize them.

Request - Multi-platform playback

Hi!

I got a quite simple question: Is there any way to already achieve or plan to implement multi-platform playback? I couldn't find any yet, so the answer ain't that easy I guess.
What I'm talking about, is especially the ability to pause a (e.g.) video on one device and resume it on another.

Obviously this probably won't work as easily for online streams, but I got a bunch of content on a NAS. Wouldn't it be fairly easy to add a simple research library file in the library folders where metadata for the contained files is stored that gets read on starting any playback, so not only my android tablet will ask me, if I want to resume playback at point x, but also my htpc - and vice versa. Maybe a combined research file for all sources stored on a NAS - or maybe online - could also do the job.
I guess we all like this feature on Netflix etc., it would definately be a treat for future releases. ;-)

Trouble terminating link insertion.

I'm just trying to post in one of the support/discussion threads and I tried to include a link to a relevant page of information on another site.  You know like see this here. In fact I've got that other half-finished draft posting still open in another window, but for some reason, when I go to finish the link and embed it in the post over in that other widow, it works BUT the darn thing seems not to get terminated, in some sense, so that as I keep on typing more text after the inserted link, that text also ends up in blue and underlined, as if it were part of the link's intended corresponding displayed text.

I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening over in that other window, but as I have just demonstrated (above) it is not happening over in this window.  And the real problem is that I can't figure out how to terminate the link text (over in the other window) so that I can continue on and finish the rest of my intended posting.

How can I terminate the displayed link text?  (Apparently, in that other window, just clicking "OK" in the little link creator pop-up sub-window ain't doing it for some reason.)

And why is this different behavior that is occurring over in that other window happening anyway?  Could that perhaps have been triggered by the fact that I accidentally cut & pasted the long URL I had wanted to link to into the "Display Text" area in the pop-up sub-window by mistake at first?  Did that mess things up within that one browser window in a "sticky" sort of way that I cannot now undo?

P.S. Oh!  I'm using Firefox 62.0.3 on Ubuntu, BTW, if that makes any difference.

Android - Shield Compatibility? (Considering Win to Linux Changeover with TVHeadEnd)

Hi All,

I'm trying to changeover the house from legacy Windows 10 Media PCs to Nvidia Shields, but having nothing but headaches with LiveTV.
(Both Media Portal and NextPVR via Kodi freeze when I select a channel most of the time, and pausing LiveTV is flakey as, as well.)

What are peoples experiences like with LiveTV support with TVHeadEnd via Kodi on an NVidia Shield?

Obviously I'll have to rebuild my Windows 10 x64 HP Microserver to Linux, what are the suggestions for this?  Ubuntu?
