I'm a big fan of SendClick(14) for toggling between the following two choices:

1. watched + unwatched (for when you want to see everything)
2. unwatched-only (for when you want to know what to watch next, or what needs catching up, etc).

I would love it if a 3rd option could be baked into this feature:

3. favorites-only (for when you want to see your personal "hall of fame" within a library). 

It doesn't have to relate to SendClick(14), but that's the simplest way I've thought to suggest it. Ultimately, I'd just love to be able to filter my libraries between favorites-only, unwatched-only, and unwatched+watched (and maybe other -only categories if other tags became interesting to me). 

Alternatively, I may look into making a smart playlist that accomplishes this, and adding it to the submenu of my TV or Movie sections. But it would be much faster to be able to toggle according to my request above. 

Also, is it possible for users to attempt to modify the code for SendClick functions? I'd love to tinker around with that if possible, but would need to know where their code can be located in the first place.

Hi guys,

I made a custom page which include icons and when click on each the movie will play. My question how can I make custom search for the movie name if I made a custom page..i tried to search by global search but didn't work!

Is there any addon to solve this issue?

So when i turn my tv off and on again Kodi crashes/closes, this did not happen in v17.

I am running with ubuntu 18.04.1

I just reinstalled everything.  I screwed up, I think, when I defined my sources.  I went to videos/files/add  and added movies and tv.  I can play all this stuff through videos/files/whatever but not in the main menu.  I can also play stuff through media/library/settings/videos (get movies, tv, etc) .  The main menu will play movies but will not play any tv (nothing is available even though everything is listed, the info is there, etc).  I went back to the source and everything seems dandy there too. 

This is very mysterious.

Hey guys, just side loaded Kodi onto my new Apple 4k TV, and the 4K streams from my NAS are playing in a very slow manner. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for the help!

I have the same issue. I use a proxy server as a jump box for VPN and that works just fine, but it also captures all LAN connections. The proxy does direct connection to the LAN device but all streams from PVR, movie library etc all go first to the proxy, then to the device. This adds another hop to the stream, and although it works fine, it is far from ideal to add this extra step. Especially for PVR streaming I find it is much more stable with direct connection.
My thinking is to add a button like this:



That would help alot! If anyone know a “hack” on console to achieve the same I welcome that approach too. I am not afraid to SSH in and set this setting manually somewhere.

A console "hack" is also welcome!

Hi,

i use the kodi webserver and want to stream videos from it if i am at friends for example but the html5 stream has no sound in the most videos and the vlc plugin want work because it is no longer supported by firefox. How can i now stream my videos from the webserver ? I use the standart webserver integrated in kodi with the chorus2 interface. I have tryed to copie the video url and open in directly in vlc too, but it do not work.

I created /usr/lib/systemd/system/unbind-console.service and modified my kodi.service to include Wants=unbind-console.service in an attempt to free-up the GPU memory by disabling the framebuffer. However, when kodi runs via the systemd service, it seems that the framebuffer is still listed in the output of vcdbg reloc despite the fact that when I cat /sys/devices/virtual/vtconsole/vtcon1/bind I see a 0 returned.

When am I missing? My kodi.service:

Good morning,

Because of Final Fantasy XV that supports Dolby Atmos, in Windows 10 i bought the Dolby Atmos for Headphones and its amazing when playing the game.

With that enabled and the box to virtualize 7.1 channels ticked, what are the best settings in Kodi?

In Kodi i have selected directsound and 7.1 channels. Is this the best configuration to support it?

Where exactly does movie set artwork go?
All of my movies are in their own folder.
Does it go in the movies folder? Do I need a copy of it in every movie folder in the set?
I checked the wiki and I'm not seeing this...

Dear community

If I start a film from my shield tv the screen gets black and the beamer makes really strange noises. Like it would make something with the lens and stuff. I have a optoma uhd51

This morning I tried to run my Kodi (17.3) on Raspbian Jessie but when I double clicked on the icon nothing happened. I tried from command line and I get this:

I tried to reinstall kodi with "sudo apt-get install --reinstall kodi" but the output is the same.
I have this configuration for almost a year and had 0 problems and now I can't even run the app.
Anyone have suggestion what could it be?

How do I remove the clock completely?

I looked in the includes.xml for "clock" and turned up nothing. Unless my search filter isnt working for some reason I am just not seeing it.
Alternatively if I am going in too deep and there is a setting I can toggle that would be great.

I've tried this today and nothing seems to "light" up during playback. Would be a nifty little addition, since the HDCD flag can be preserved when ripping one's discs to digital format.

Can (windows) Kodi server be set so that thumbnails are displayed by a DLNA/UPNP client?
Noted on two different Smart TVs (LG and Panasonic) this is working using PLEX as server, so, I guess it is feasible (i.e. the protocoll allows for that) and I wonder whether Kodi does have this capability.

Possibly this is more of a bugfix request than a feature request, I'm not sure....

On Leia beta builds on a Vero 4K+ and also on a Raspberry Pi, it's possible to whitelist 576p/50 and 480p/60 resolutions. If you do that and then play 576 or 480 video, the output switches to that resolution, but the aspect ratio is wrong.

The reason, I assume, is that 720p and above have square pixels, while 480p and 576p have rectangular pixels. You can get close to the right aspect ratio by playing with the "pixel ratio" setting, but because you can't set that to more than 2 decimal places, you can't get it exactly right.

Setting the View mode to "Stretch 16:9" also gets the aspect ratio roughly right, but I'm not sure if it's bypassing scaling entirely.

I'd like to be able to play a 576i/p or 480i/p video and output it as 576p or 480p without any scaling or aspect ratio manipulation at all.
