Request - Move files

Hi, 
is it possible or is it a plug in for move any file to another folder in kodi library without using the file manager? For example I watch a video and then I want to move it by longclicking the file and have the option to move it.

Volume Control

Hi,
first of all, thanks for the great Skin!
I have an addon which shows a volume control in a dialog window. This works on Estuary, but not on Pellucid, as there is no volume slider included in the skin. Can you tell me how I could add the standard volume control to Pellucid to reference it from my addon, or should I rather post this request to addon development?

How is Theora video supported in Kodi?

I run Kodi 17.6 on a Raspbarry Pi 3. This works perfectly, except when playing H.265 video in full HD resolution, since the Pi's GPU doesn't support H.265 and therefore the Pi has to decode this in software, for which it lacks the CPU power. Which makes  sense for such a tiny embedded system.

However, I'm now seeing something similar with Theora video.

I have two different episodes of a TV series in OGG container format, one in SD resolution (640x352), the other in HD resolution (1028x720). Both use the Theora video and Vorbis audio codec. Other than the resolution, everything else appears identical. However, the SD version plays fine, the HD version stutters badly (one frame update every 3 seconds or so). This is worse than trying to play full HD H.265 on the Pi.

Is the Theora codec equally or more CPU intensive than H.265? Does it rely on GPU support not offered by the Raspberry Pi hardware?

In the past I've tried transcoding (e.g. from H.265 to H.264) but the results were disappointing (low quality, large file sizes) but if this is my only option here I may try it. Suggestions for transcoding software would be welcome, too! Smile

[Youtube] How to setup proxy for mpeg-dash?

Hello!

I like to use MPEG-DASH in the youtube add-on, but I get this "error" in the settings:

- Proxy is required for mpeg-dash vods (see HTTP Server)

(and another one about inputstream needing 2.0.12 for live streams, but just videos would be a good first step)

After some googling I still have no idea what I am supposed to do,
could anybody point me in the right direction?

youtube: 6.1.4 and 6.2.0~beta1 

running:
kodi 17.6

Looking at Movie Information Online?

Hi, I have a small movie library, one of the movies I have is Spiderman 2002. So I uninstalled Kodi and re-installed it. So I remember before uninstalling it when I clicked n a movie, and the information appeared I'd click on a cast member and see all the movies he/she was in, wether I have it or not, and this wasn't Exodus or anything like that because if I clicked on a movie I don't have, I don't have the "Play Movie" option; all other options are there though (Play Trailer - Cast - Director etc...). So was this an add-on I accidentally installed or what?

Leia not responding to keyboard

I installed 20180922 version 64 bit on my windows 10 home PC that I use as my media centre connected to a TV and use a Logitech Harmony remote to control Kodi. Kodi link is in autostart. Everything was fine until I decided to put a new nightly build 20181006 and the new install does not respond to the Logitech Harmony keys. I have a wireless keyboard also attached to the PC and that also does not respond to the keys. However if I use the mouse pad on the wireless keyboard and click on a Kodi menu then the keyboard and Harmony remote both work. I use Aeon Nox skin. Rebooting does not change it nor does the latest build.

v18 - v 4.3.11 alerts as not being compatible with Leia Beta 3

Updated my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Kodi box today and the new hts addon got installed, when starting Kodi the addon was disabled with the message that it is not compatible with this version of Kodi (Beta 3). I activated debugging log but aside from the simple incompatibility message there was no other trace, so I did not include a log at the moment here. If you still want a log, I can provide it, no problem.

Wii Remote Help Needed

Hi, everyone! I'm having problems getting a Wii remote working on a KODI Krypton build, running on a Raspberry Pi 3B. The Bluetooth system detects the controller, and pairs with it,
 but only the direction bars (L,R, Up, Down) are working. No mouse click functions with either the trigger or "A" button. Is there a particular package in the apt repository that must be
installed, or a keymap template available. This is driving me nuts...the system works fine otherwise...connects to it's bootp server, mounts it's NFS shares, works like a charm.

Mac HD filled by a music scan with a rar file in the folder "Where is my space gone"?

Hello guys,

first of all, the kodi version (for karaoke cdg file support) is 15.2, but maybe an answer to my question can help others even on newer versions too.

I started a Music library scan on a new source and in that folder I had mp3's, cdg's and "then", I found, even a rar file (with a lot of mp3+cdg files inside).

When the scan reached the rar archive it continued the scan for the files inside and I started seeing a big drop in the harddrive empty space... Stoooop!

..then I found the rar file, removed, new scan from scratch and everything is fine now... but...

->but I lost many GB of precious disk space and I cannot find which files are using it.

I already checked in the userdata folder but I couldn't find anything.... any help, please?

Android - Time shifting buffering

I'm getting buffering when advancing through timeshifting, I can only seem to reproduce on my Nvidia Shield (seems to work ok on Windows and RPi hense why have posted in Android and not Live TV forum) although they are not all on the same build but are all pretty recent Version 18.

To reproduce: Watch live TV > Pause > wait a couple of minute > play and skip forward a minute > wait c30 seconds and buffering will happen.

I can reproduce this every time and it doesn't matter what channel.

Edit: Using TVheadend 4.3.1435, both hardwired into router, RPi are wireless and working fine

DialogVideoInfo (tvshow) , No way to browse or play episodes

Not sure if it a bug or an oversight. If one activates the information dialog for a tv show, (i on the keyboard, info on the remote), it contains a play button which does not play anything. Feels like it should be a  button, labelled Browse/Episodes, which allows you to browse and play the episodes of the show. Btw, in confluence the button said Browse, however, it too did nothing.

I checked the wiki and noticed that there is no container for seasons or episode listed.

Setting default action for videos to 'Show Information' is not very useful for tv shows if one cannot play it.

Hopefully, some kind soul can find the time to take a look.

Kodi Nightly 20181008 (and earlier) no sound after switching inputs

I have had this problem for quite some time on all the nightly versions of Kodi Arm64-V8A when using the Nvidia Shield.  Using my Denon receiver when i switch inputs for instance going back to Directv and later coming back to Kodi I will have no sound.  My audio is set to allow passthrough, keep audio device alive ALWAYS and is marked to send low volume noise.

Additionally, you know immediately when going back to the input that the Nvidia shield is on that the sound isn't working because its not just movie/tv playback sounds - the system sounds no longer work as well.

this problem has been occurring going back weeks for the nightlies now.  

If i rollback really far to a build from a month or two ago I do not have this problem and have continually confirmed this by trying the latest nightly, it not working, and then rolling back.  Though that now appears like its going to be difficult since the version number has changed to Beta4 - yep, now that the version number has been changed to V4 I have no way to downgrade that I can see unless I want to setup everything again.

I should further add - it makes no difference is Passthrough is on or not.  Even when it is turned off I have the same problem.

Kodi Not Passing Through ATMOS/DTS

Hi all - I'm pretty new to the Android player market as been using a Western Digital media box for the past few years which does not do 4k so hence upgraded.
So I have the shiny new Shield 4k player, all my moves on a Synology Disk Station and the shield is connected to a rather expensive Pioneer 7.2.4 Dolby ATMOS/DTS-X Receiver.

Reading articles and posts on many Forums it seems like Kodi is the player to be using.. however I downloaded the latest version and in the options enable Pass-through but for some reason it pushes the ATMOS audio through as multi-channel PCM and not ATMOS. ... like Kodi is trying to decode the audio and not passing it through.
I watched some YouTube videos and all of the ones I have seen have multiple sliders for DTS, ATMOS, 7.1 TrueHD etc etc.. the Kodi version I downloaded less than a week ago only has one option of Pass-Through.. and I get PCM.
So I saw something on how add Plex into Kodi and that seems to play ATMOS ok.

The other thing in Kodi.. where does all that other shit come from.. there looks to be Hi-5 TV episodes and random shit and stuff.. which is not on my movie server. Where does it come from and how do I get rid of it?

Leia addon bug - onPlayBackStarted

Hi,

I've got an addon that worked with Krypton and now is broken with Leia Beta 3.  When playback starts, I check to see if it is a video and if so then I run the rest of my code.  Of note is the "isPlayingVideo" check works in other places in the same class (pause/resume).

Was this change intended?
