Im trying to find a way to add 'page up' and 'page down' keys to my Ras Pi 3B. Im using a wireless keyboard/touch-pad that unfortunately dosent have these keys. Im leaning towards F11 and F12 for these keys. I looked at the keymap editor addon but I have some concerns about using it. One article I read warned that you cant do just a few keys... that it wipes the current keymap so you have to do everything over again. Ive looked at editing the keymap file manualy, but have no idea what the wording would be for either 'page up/down' or F11/F12. I could always make a copy of the keymap file in case the editor does indeed wipe everything. I figured that this would be the place to ask if anybody out there knew of a simple way of getting this done. So... any suggestions?

HDHomeRun addon Crashing Kodi
Almost every time selecting a channel from the "TV" PVR menu item crashes Kodi
If I use the HDHomeRun Video Addon, I get a message saying all tuners are in use...when they are not being used.

It used to work great.
I see this message in the logs frequently "WARNING: CreateLoader - unsupported protocol(pvr) in pvr://channels/tv/All channels/pvr.hts_550603760.tbn"
Using TVHeadend backend. Kodi server is connected (HDMI) to monitor.
My Vero4K box on another monitor (pulling from same Kodi server) has no issues...HDHomeRun works flawlessly.

today I've installed Kodi on my SONY Bravia KD55XE9005 and the movies are on my pc, so far everything is set up. Does Kodi playback fully work like 4k and HDR how can I check if everything runs fine?

I just installed Kodi and the last step - per the tutorial I watched - was to change the skin, but Kodi is not giving me that option. I'm stuck on estuary and when I click on it, nothing happens. Suggestions?

recordings transcode
hi
i'm on win7 - kodi 17.6 and enable transcode parameters in the addon to watch tv channels and it works great
but when i want to watch recordings the transcodings don't work (with all TS -FLV or webM)
is there a solution? thanks

v14 - Kodi-Clients are not starting after Modem-Reboot?
Hello,
i have for a long time a Kodi-environment running which works very well for me:
- old 14.1. Kodi-Version - but as long everything works fine i see no reason to upgrade
- central Synology NAS where all the films are stored
- Clients: 1x Win7-PC, 3x FireTV
Recently i rebootet bei internet modem - and after that the Kodi-Clients are not starting anymore - i can only see the Kodi 14.1. starting picture
(normaly i should get to the profile selection - cause i have 2 profiles running one for adults and one for childs - but i am not able to get there anymore - its the same on all 4 clients)
Any ideas what could be the reason or something i should check or investigate?
(access on the films on the NAS via the windows explorer works)

Overwriting existing .nfo files causes problems
Hi there,
I found a bug, which almost drove me crazy. Some episodes were not recognized, when scraping with Kodi into the library.
The thing is that TMM (2.9.13) overwrites existring .nfo files. Say you have (before TMM scraping):
Game.of.Thrones.S01E01.mkv
Game.of.Thrones.S01E01.nfo
in a folder, then this is not a big deal (you just loose the "original" .nfo file) when scraping with TMM, but the resulting files are (after TMM scraping):
Game.of.Thrones.S01E01.mkv
Game.of.Thrones.S01E01.nfo
A problem occures when the files are named the following (before TMM scraping):
Game.of.Thrones.S01E01.mkv
game.of.thrones.s01e01.nfo
because TMM will overwrite the .nfo file while scraping, but not change the (non-)capital letters in the filename (after TMM scraping):
Game.of.Thrones.S01E01.mkv

Kodi looks for the .nfo files case sensitive, the episode in example 2 would not appear in the library.

Can't use a remote when the computer is connected to a VPN

I try to use the Kore remote control, but i must disable the computer's VPN, otherwise the connection is lost. But a VPN is also activated on my phone and it doesn't give me any problem.

Interface corruption on AMD APU
Hello!
When I connect my PC to a TV (Sony Bravia) through HDMI everything works, except Kodi. The interface is distorted and pixelated, and this extends to movie playback. See pictures. However as soon as I open the start menu or something else, Kodi in the background looks ok. Switching back to Kodi doesn't help.
I tried switching to software rendering and disabling DXVA, tried some driver settings, nothing helped. Strangely enough, if I connect through VNC the picture normalizes and stays so, when I disconnect.
I'm at a bit of a los on what to do now, so I hope somebody has some ideas.
I'm using latest stable Kodi 17 on Windows 10 (with all updates), AMD Ryzen 2400G APU (with latest drivers).
The graphics card works otherwise perfectly, I tested it extensively and also played some games on it.
What I see on my TV:

Does HTTP web server in kodi system the same of SimpleHTTPServer ?

I want to know if the HTTP web server which I can enable it with port 8080 in kodi service the same of SimpleHTTPServer?
because I tried to access the file with 192.168.1.200:8080/test.py but I couldn't see it until I activate python -m SimpleHTTPServer 8000 then I can see the content of test.py filr through this link 192.168.1.200:8000/test.py!
are they different?

Old player Interface
Hello, i am using new kodi version but i like to change player interface, not skin for kodi but controls that show when i am playing something, the reason is that i read many subtitles (embebed) tutorials and sometime i want see them in fast forward, and in old interface i can see subtitles, because player only show time in upper right corner, but now it take all lower position so i can't see, is there a way to get back only player?

This fault has been in effective since your Kodi 18 Alpha releases till today for your Beta-2 releases. Subtitles DO NOT WORK when playing videos selected via "Movies", "TV shows" or the main menu's "In progress movies", "recently added movies", etc.
Yet, the subtitles DO WORK if entering and playing through "Videos" off the main menu.
There is a direct correlation between the subtitles NOT playing or (YES) playing properly when selecting the features in Settings/Player "Play next video automatically". When NOT selecting "Episodes" and/or "Movies" to "Play next video automatically" the subtitles will work. Invoking "Episodes" and/or "Movies" to play video automatically dismisses subtitle participation as described above.
I have a Windows 10 Desktop with KODI and two Nvidea media players using Kodi 18.0 Leia Beta 2 presently. Both editions have similar faults. I use both English and Polish "*.srt" subtitles format.

The kodi not support UVD for AMD VEGA56 card? I enabled VAAPI & VDPAU, and try to play the H.264 & 10bit video, it is not smoothly, it seems to use the PowerPoint. I check the kodi play information and find it is using software decode. How to ask KODI to support hardware decode for amd card? Thanks so much.
The driver is using AMDGPU-PRO 18.30. I think the driver is installed normally cause DOTA2 is very smoothly.

Broken - PLEASE HELP
kodi itself is working fine. but when i try to use watch something on video add on the playback looks to be zoomed in 100x and its very blurry. Does anyone else have this problem? can any help me please? I cut the cable a year and rely on kodi for my entertainment.

Problems with One TV show Law & Order : Criminal Intent
TheTVDB labels it as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. I have put the shows in a Law & Order Criminal Intent (without the colon ) folder with the shows named Law & Order Criminal Intent S01E01 etc. Shows appears under Video > Files with the name of the file instead of S X E with the title of the show. It doesn't appear under TV Shows Is there some way to get this show working?
