Scan status blocked on «pending»

Hello,

I followed all the steps described here, but i'm blocked on the step 4 because the scan status of all transponders is blocked on «pending» since almost one hour. I know that it can take some time, but one hour seems to be exaggerated. So where can be the problem ?

Library emptying itself after reboot KODI 17.3

Hello there,

I have been using KODI on UBUNTU flawlessly for more than 5 years. But recently....

I updated my computer with a SSD and installed UBUNTU 17.10 on it.
I put my HDD (NTFS automount activated) with all movies and tv shows next to it.

On firts KODI setup, evreythings working fine, the content is indexing and I can see all my movies and TV shows correctly.

But once I reboot my computer, Movies and TV shows folders are appearing empty.

I really do not understand why, the HDD is automounting itself and I have no problem playing the movies from VIDEO/files


I think there is something wrong with my path but I cannot understand what is it.

Cannot create a timer rule for 'any channel'

One of my favorite movies is randomly re-aired on various channels. I've never ever actually managed to schedule a recording in advance. Hence, I was going to create a timer rule for this movie title to be searched in epg and with channel 'any channel'. Unfortunately this does not create a timer rule - unless I specify a discrete channel.

Not sure if this a genral kodi issue or just an issue with vdr/vnsi. I am using KODI 17.6 on Ubuntu 16.04.3

I'd be happy for any suggestion on how to work around this issue or - even better - if this could be fixed in the upcoming KODI 18 releases.

Mulitiple language info in one NFO question. Please help.

Hello everyone, 
I'm new here so I'm not sure if it's the correct place to post it, forgive me if not.

I wanted to ask wether it's possible to include 2 languages info in one nfo or 2 separate nfo but only one "recognised" depending on KODI language option chosen.
The way I would want it to work is I use English interface and want descriptions, episodes names to be in english,
but my kid speaks only Polish so I wondered if it's possible if he logs in on his account and browses through TV Shows (streamed locally from another computer with many HDDs) so that the TV shows names, episode descriptions, episode names be in POLISH.
What I have right now is I don't use any scraper - each my TV show and all episodes have individual NFO files with all the data, I would like to find a way to make kodi use different language NFO when browsing in Polish.
Is it possible or only via scraper? (many tv shows don't have polish translations on websites so I would like to create my own)

hi im using kody 17 on windows 10 and i cant open group or channel manager.  it worked fine until i added superfavorites addon.  i deleted the addon but it still isnt working, any ideas?

Live tv no longer working and the nextpvr icon going red

Hello, iv got an issue maybe someone can help out with.i was watching live tv this morning all was going good but then the stream randomly froze. I restarted Kodi but as I reclicked the channel I got nothing, i tried my other box and got the same so I don't think its a Kodi issue. the upper right showed the channel with the play icon but nothing, on the server the pvr icon is red when one of the client is trying to play and the back to white when play back is stopped.  here is the log from next pvr

Having Issues Playing Content From IPTV Simple Client.

Hey.  So I am loading a tv channel playlist (m3u) in IPTV Simple Client.  The channel names and info load, however the content does not play/unavail/error.  The same playlist plays perfectly fine on VLC for my Mac, however anything on my box is to no avail.

Hello all.  I am new to this.  

Just installed Kodi on my Windows 7 64 bit computer.  Trying to run Kodi and it comes up with the following error message (will not run).  "Error. Unable to create gui. exiting"   

I have checked my driver on my computer (Standard VGA Graphics Adapter) for updates and still not working.  

Here is the log that I get when trying to run this:

Smart Playlist - Mix TV and Movie together

I am wondering if it would be possible to give us a playlist option that would allow TV Shows and Movies to be grouped together in a playlist by Genre?  I am trying to join the Animated Movies and Animated Cartoons together in a menu to allow easier viewing for my daughter.  I was also looking to possibly do the same with Documentaries that on both TV and Movies.

Backup addon not working

Since installing Kodi 17.6 the backup add-on gives the following error when you run a backup:

"The destination may not be writable do you want to continue?
If you select yes, the backup runs but nothing is written to the USB memory stick.

Stick works on a box running 17.5, fails on 2 boxes running 17.6
Tried another stick with no success

Any help would be appreciated

help needed with movie widget

Hi,

I've been using fuse(neue) for some time now. It really is an awesome skin.
One of my favorite features is the creation of custom menu items.

And that is where I need some help/pointers.

I have a NAS with a NFS share on it.
In that share I have several folders, eg Movies, Disney, Series
I've created a own menu containing Movies, Disney, Series, Music and Settings.
When I created Movies it asks for the menu item (I chose the movie folder) and I got to choose a widget.
For that widget i also pointed to the folder containing Movies. However when fuse rebuilds the startmenu, when I choose Movies, the widget
shows only system images (builtin??) instead of the (fan)artwork. But when I click on Movies then it shows the (fan)artwork.

Whick setting do I need to pick to show the fanart on the homescreen when I select Movies, or Disney or Series.
I only want to show the artwork of that specific folder, so that when my kids select Disney they only see Disney movies.

Kodi 17.6 and Amazon FIRESTICK

Hello, I bought Amazon Firestick and installed KODI 17.6 ... I added the source to NAS Synology DS216PLAY ... everything works very well but when I turn off the Firestick or go to standbay it loses my connection to the NAS and I can not see the movies ... if I go to KODI and then source files, I still see the source that I had added but if I click on it tells me it does not find the NAS .. at this point I have to re-mount the source and then everything will continue to work up to next firestick standbay or shutdown ... can you help me?

Problem with MKV chapters and external VobSub subtitles

Hi,

Testing KODI 17.3 on Raspbian Jessie and KODI 17.5 on Raspbian Stretch, in both versions the following problem exists:

If MKV file has chapterpoints, and external VobSub format subtitles are used, navigation does ignore chapterpoints - it uses "BigStepForward" or "BigStepBackward" functions instead, jumping 10 minutes forward or backward (as default value for "BigStep" is 600 s).
If the same VobSub subtitles are included into MKV container, navigation through chapterpoints woks fine. Also external text-format subtitles (.SRT) works fine - navigation jumps to chapterpoints.
Looking into DEBUG logs it seems that VideoPlayer considers external VobSub titles as additional Input stream, containing MPEG, and starts to use navigation (SeekTime) from this stream, not MKV, as it should. And as VobSub stream does not have MKV chapterpoints, the navigation does ignore those, but jumps according "BigStep" value.
I could prepare some video sample from my legal DVD-s, but the problem might be the duration - if the sample duration is limited to 2 minutes, it would be bit hard to make some chapterpoints for such a short sample.

Tool to move files based on rating

I've been looking for a tool that will allow me to move files/directories based on the Kodi rating of the video.  Whether it's from within a tool or it can export a list of directories and then I can build a script around that.

Use case is I want to keep lower rated movies on a separate slower disk outside of my array.  It would still be accessible to Kodi which would see it as just another source.

Does anyone know of any tool that can do this ?  Manually doing directory by directory will take way too long.

Server WMC Working but strange error in log

Hi,

Server WMC is working nicely for me and I can browse my Recorded TV folder on Kodi fine. However I get an error when opening Server WMC on the PC about the recorded TV share (even though it is clearly working) and the log has a strange error about an Overflow Exception on the Access Control List.
