Font improvements in Estuary

Hey,

I use a EPG provider, which rates movies with "stars". In Arial based font there exists a full and an empty star as symbol. I can see these star symbols in EPG if I setup"Arial based" in Kodi skin setting. If I use Estuary font, I only see a rectangle.

Please can you add these two symbols to the font in Estuary/Estouchy as well?

question regarding t95z android box with S912 amlogic (suitability for running kodi)

I have ordered a 2017 Model BPSMedia Android 7.1 Bluetooth TV Box Amlogic S912 64 Bits Octa Core 
I am curious if the S912 is ok enough to run kodi and addons.

I have tested one of these boxes already and it seems fine, and now on these forums I see people saiyng the amlogic cpu is not great, and I have seen some stuff about the S905 but not a lot about if the S912 is ok, or significantly better.

My order has not yet arrived, and I am not looking to spend too much (this is only $100 with keyboard), so should I be worried about this device?
Or should it be ok enough for me?  
I don't plan on running LibreElec on it, just the main android OS and kodi app, however, would you recommend I try to run LibreElec instead?

Also I am planning to run live tv streams on it.

running Kodi (on android box) off 8GB ROM or move to faster MicroSD card?

I have an android box (NEXSMART D32 Android mini pc Support 4K HD TV Android 5.1 Quad-core Cortex A7 ) with 8GB eMMC ROM of installed memory.
However, I have inserted a Sandisk Ultra 16GB MicroSD card to help with kodi streaming.

My question is whether or not I should move the kodi app on to the SD card, or will the ROM storage be enough to process the data?

I have checked on eMMC and it seems ok, but I am concerned that because android OS takes up more than half the 8GB storage already it will cause issues with streams.

Pin for delete Item. Or Category deleting

Hi,

confirm a deletion (Movie/Series/PVR Recording) with Pin (number). 

Or better enable/disable deletion for Movie/Series/Music/PVR separately

Example. 

It is very rare that I delete a Film (archived) but I often delete a PVR Recording. So I want to avoid someone delete Films/TV Series or other thing. General option deletion for all or not is not enough in my opinion. 

Avaible in Expert View only possible.

Video playback problems for some files, not all

Hello,

I have a FireTV box. In the past few days, maybe a week or so, a lot of video files aren't playing. I can load them up on my Ubuntu machine just fine through the default Videos application and through mpv/VLC.

I've included the kodi.log file from my FireTV. If anyone could let me know what's up, I'd appreciate it!

Osx high sierra kodi 17.4 - mouse issue top screen

Hello,

Since i got high sierra, i cannot go the top of the screen on kodi 17.4.
Its not working on external screen or directly on the macbook pro.

Also, i notified few strange thinges with the cursor some times. The cursor is changing form...looks like a bug to me.

Any infos about that?

Hi all,

If I'm playing 10-bit HEVC file (my pc wont support HW) so it will use Software rendering.
If the Rendering setting is set to AUtomatic the greenline appears at bottom of the video.
If it's set to Software everything works nicely.

Couldn't connect to server and channel freeze

All Client and server are hard wire on the same LAN,
DVBViewer DMS 2.03 and the latest DVBViewer PVR

What I have noticed recently is that the PVR takes time to connect to DMS, it sort of act as though its freeze, then it will connect after several attempt, also when I change from one channel to another I noticed a freeze before it display channel. 
As I am not sure what could have caused the issue, I review the log, then I noticed some errors that I thought I should report it here may be it has been reported or not. 


Appreciate if anyone have seeing this issue what is the cause ie Kodi inherent or what and what could be done on my side to fix it if any

A Question, i thinking about writing an Plugin.
That saves 
"Last Episode in the Series in US",

"Next Episode in the Series in Germany" 
Some Other Informations.

Since the Information changes Weekly i think a Service Plugin would be a better way then a scrapper.
What would be the Best way to do so
Scrapper/Service Addon?
Using in Table tvshowview c16-C23 or is there a Better way to do so, so other Plugins/Skins can use it.

it's all very confusing with these boxes. What i want:
  • Clean Kodi, means LibreELEC. No Android if possible
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Dynamic Refresh Rate switching
  • 4k
  • HDR10
  • HD Audio
  • Get the Xiaomi BT Remote to work
NOT NEEDED is official Netflix, Amazon, 3D...

Im not new at all to this topic. I owned a Zidoo X9S (not playing my files outside of specifications), Odroid C2 (very good, bot not HDR capable) and lastly a Xiaomi Mi Box (no Refresh Rate Switching and no Gigabit..)
Searching for such a box will get me to the MINIX U9-H. Newest Developments of LibreELEC for S912 show that it is possible to make all my wishes come true.

I just want to hear your opinion on this topic, thanks in advance!

How to pause video playback when switching to TV

Hi,

I'm using KODI with RPi2 with Sony TV. After few days of configuration all working fine and even faster than on LibreELEC. 

I have question - is possible to set KODI to pause video playback when I switch to TV? This is working on LibreELEC.

In other words - when I push "sync menu" on my TV pilot i choose "Return to TV", Sony leave HDMI and switch to TV. Then video playback in KODI is pause. When I switch back to KODI, video starts playing again. This is nice feature.

How can I do this with KODI on Raspbian?

I have been playing with this skin for a while now, and I am at a point where I am happy to share the progress.
It's based on the beautiful work of jurialmunkey, using neue fuse for a based and integrated with plenty of other features.
I wasn't a big fun of persistent menu bar so I tried to do something that I liked and over time it started to evolve in something bigger.

Main Features:
  • 4 different widget types
  • Plenty of views to choose from
  • Many customizations like highlights colours and bars
  • Leia support
  • Many other tweaks
All the work has been done on the video/library side of the skin, so for the moment please bear in mind that if you want to use music/pictures/pvr you might have some bugs. I will try to iron out every bug as soon as possible

i3 vs s905 performance

Currently I have an intel nuc i3 6100u running libreelec + kodi flawlessly. I am looking to get a second device, and was looking into the Vero 4k (Or any other s905(x) ) machine. Does it deliver the same performance in UI navigation and playback compared to an i3? I use the following:
  • Arctic Zephyr skin
  • Youtube + plexkodiconnect plugin
  • No 4k 
  • Media fed via webdav/ftp
