Hello I am looking to change my case as the current one is broken.
I am very tempted to get a Silverstone LC16 which has a volume knob and an LCD display together with some play ffw and stop/pause buttons on the front panel.

Everything seems to be ok with windows according to the manufacturer, but I will be using a Librelec build and was wondering if all these extra features would run out of the box.

I don't really have time to configure everything especially every time I upgrade Kodi to the next version.
Is there any value in me getting this particular case?

When I start Kodi for the first time after the box is powered up it kicks out. Once I go back in again it's fine and there are no issues during the course of the day starting Kodi even if I power down the box and reboot the same day. The issue only happens on startup the next day. Hope this makes some sense!!! Using Kodi 17.4 but the issue was happening in 17.3 also. Using Minix Neo U1 Box. Any ideas what could be causing the issue? Thanks.

Youtube Setup allows easy insertion of your custom created API keys for Youtube addon.

Hi, i create a mySQL database on my QNAP nas and set Kodi.
All work perfectly, but some TV Show don't scraper....
I try with cancel all tv show, but when rescrape my folder, some (the same) tv show don't scrape.
For movie all are ok.
Where is the problem.
If i use a locally database all are ok.

Hi,

Got two little issue with kodi 64 bits
Do not know since when they are here or if they are specific to kodi 64 bits...

1- While it works good on library, aspect ratio label is missing during playback:



2- No matter what I play, audio is always reported as "unknown" (even if reported correctly in library) :



Hope someone from kodi team with the knowledge will have the time to look at it...

Hi All,

I'm having difficulty with DVD menu navigation and would like to confirm its current status and work-arounds.

On my rPi the intro plays fine, but the spinning progress indicator stays on after selecting e.g. the Play Movie menu item and otherwise nothing happens. I can eventually return to the Kodi home screen via the keyboard/remote.

This is with non-encrypted folder structure DVDs and the latest Raspbian repo Kodi 17.3 on an rPi 3B with RASPBIAN STRETCH WITH DESKTOP August 2017 Kernel version:4.9.

Do I understand correctly from ticket 17299 that this issue has been fixed for Kodi 18?

Seeing that Kodi updates are generally slow in becoming available for the rPi, what are the recommended work-arounds for me in the meantime?

I'm trying to fit a new 1TB hard drive to my HTPC, which is running the latest version of OpenElec with no other operating systems installed, and from searching here I've found that a method recommended for its simplicity is to burn a bootable thumb drive containing Gparted and use that program to partition and format the new disc.

On a separate Windows 7 machine I've created the thumb drive, apparently with no problems, using gparted-live-0.29.0-1-i686.iso from this site and burning it with Rufus-2.16. The problem I'm having is that I can't persuade the computer to boot from the drive: it appears in the boot menu (accessed by pressing Esc during start-up) but selecting it has no effect: the machine boots into OpenElec as if the drive wasn't there.

When I was setting up the PC I used the same method (Rufus) and (as far as I recall) the same settings to burn a drive with OpenElec - in fact, it was the same drive - and that worked flawlessly though of course I was working with a completely blank machine on that occasion.

The PC is a comparatively old desktop model, Pentium dual-core CPU E5300 @ 2.6GHz with 4GB RAM.

I'll be very grateful for any thoughts on where I might be going wrong.

I noticed this issue a while back using OSMC on RPi2 when Krypton was first released, basically if the audio offset is moved forward past approx 0.8 seconds, the picture starts stuttering, anything more than 1 second causes the picture to freeze completely while the audio continues.

I know the first thing i'll be asked is 'Why do you need to offset it by that amount anyway?'...the answer is to get the audio in sync with my Airplay speakers...as the pi has no native support for airplay i use a program called AirTunes, i won't go any further as the issue I'm describing occurs even with any audio output.
I didn't bother digging any further at the time and presumed it was an OSMC issue, so i just rolled my Pi back to Kodi 16, where the problem doesn't occur at all...it lets me adjust the audio as far as i wish with no problems with picture playback.

Ive only just noticed that this issue is present on kodi 17.4 on Mac OS X also, so I'm presuming the problem is with Kodi 17 itself.
I've checked the problem persists with both local and network stored media, just thought id bring it up as this is the reason i can't update the Pis in the bedrooms of my house to kodi 17....and because i have different kodi versions around the house means i can't use mysql to centralise a database.

Its very easy to reproduce this issue, just try to play a movie or TV episode and adjust the audio past 1 second forward and it should occur.
Ive experimented with different filetypes and codecs and it makes no difference.

I've fresh installed Kodi with latest aeon nox silo mod skin (my favourite) , had an older version of the silvo mod before and although I've now got the latest version set up pretty much like I had the old version when I'm viewing my movie library my 3D movies are missing the little 3D icon that should be next to the other icons , 5.1, video format , aspect etc etc
My movie files are correct named as they worked before.

Tried searching the forum but it won't allow only 3D , too short , but I did browse through a lot.
The FAQ mentions a on/off toggle for SD/hd/3d , don't know if that's what I need , couldn't find the setting anyway?

Hi!

Is it possible to run a music playlist and at the same time, see videos or pictures from the library? So instead of the video sound, the sound would come from a bunch of MP3s?

If yes, how? If no, could I add that as a feature request (where)?

I want to be able to mount the rw part of the file system on NFS, similar to how I did w/the /storage dir on my Raspberry Pi that runs Kodi. Unfortunately, I don't even know where to begin to access the file system.
I have a VIGICA MXQ Plus Amlogic S905 Quad Core.

i would like to get my videos to play with the stock video player on my android galaxy s8,
i had it working like that before but i forgot the youtube video that instructed me to do so.
as i stated i had it working before, but for some reason now it dosen't work like that
i want to use the stock video player so that when i watch a movie or show i can stream it
thru my xbox one to be viewed on my tv, the only way i can do it now is using a app called
local cast and that dosen't work most of the time, thank you

I have been trying in vain trying to get my firestick/krypton to see the files on my iMac. I tried something's but none worked.

How do I get file sharing between my firestick and iMac? I'm running the latest krypton.

Hi, i'm running the latest version of kodi on windows 10 x64 and everything is fine with what i've tried but i have a problem when watching videos, it doesnt matter what format they're in or if there local or streamed from the net but when i minimise kodi even if its for just 1 second the picture will freeze and i have to wait between 10-30 seconds before the picture will resume. Pausing, fastforwarding, rewinding etc does nothing. kodi doesnt freeze only the picture does. i'm running it from a 250gb ssd drive, using windows 10 x64 ultimate, 16 gigs vulcan memory, zotec nvidia gtx970 amp extreme edition graphics card with 4gigs memory, amd x8 8350 @ 4.0ghz cpu, all my drivers are upto date for everything including my motherboard bios. i've even tried downgrading my gpu drivers for several editions but i still get the problem.

just wondered if anyone had any ideas what could be causing this.
