Through using Jellyfin as my server for my Kodi clients I can manually change the names of seasons within Jellyfin to something named, for example the invividual "series" names for Spartacus, or the locations for White Lotus. Jellyfin then sends this metadata to Kodi which looks pretty cool so rather than Season 1 I see 'Blood aand Sand' under Spartacus or 'Hawaii' for White Lotus.
IS there a way to scrape or manually create nfo metadata so this manual task can be completely automated by scraping in the future? Looking for a solution for both Jellyfin and Kodi but figured some MD guru here might now. Do you need an nfo per season folder perhaps and if so, what should it contain?
Cheers!
*EDIT* - Kind of answered my own question, Put a NFO into each season, named 'season', wich a single field for title. It works perfect in Jellyfin but doesn't in Kodi directly, aside for the Specials season which I can live with. For some reason directly in Kodi Spartacus gets season names but they aren't correct. Uncertain why. But JF is my main server for all my clients and I only use Kodi directly on my maintnence PC so I can deal with that difference.
