I am currently using 11.0 eden. I am first time user of XBMC. I have 1 client on Ubuntu 12.4 laptop and HTPC is Win7 64 bit Ultimate.
The main reason I am evaluating XBMC is because with windows 8 looming Microsoft thinks Media Center functionality is not popular enough to integrate it.
I find that so far XBMC is superior in many ways. Anyway to my issue at hand.
I am using MySQL to link the 2 machines and they work well.
However I wanted the more advanced audio features I read were in the Alphas.
Yes I understand they are Alphas and are there to test.
The issue is the alphas cant read the MySQL databases that 11.0 Eden can.
Is this already a known Issue? Will Frodo be able to read older database formats?
Will I be able to have 1 frodo and 1 eden client use same MySQL database to share?
The reason ide wanna do that is I dont know Linux well at all and once I get it setup its basicly an appliance to me not to be touched or monkeyed with...
PS is there a modular theme editor plugin I can use to customize XBMC?
