I'm sharing my media from a Windows box to a Raspberry Pi running OpenElec, and am having issues getting symlinked files to play.
TheTVDB lists certain movies as Specials of related shows. See Batman: TAS as an example.
I want to use symlinks to the movies instead of having two copies, so I have:
E:\TV\Batman The Animated Series\Season 0\S0E01.Batman Mask of the Phantasm.mkv.lnk
pointing to:
F:\Movies\Batman Mask of the Phantasm (1993)\Batman Mask of the Phantasm (1993).mkv
Now, XBMC will see this file in the library (and SickBeard even sees the link and creates fanart for it), but won't play it. The screen goes black for a bit, then I'm taken back to the library.
How do I get this to work? What I can tell from some Googling is that Linux doesn't like Windows symlinks. What's the easiest way to get them to behave together?
Thanks.
