HI

First here is the info you need to debug

Hardware Model: AppleTV2,1
OS Version: iPhone OS 6.1 (10B144b)
Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 13.0.0: Sun Dec 16 19:58:12 PST 2012; root:xnu-2107.7.55~11/RELEASE_ARM_S5L8930X
Date: 2013-07-14 20:16:27 +0700

XBMC (12.2 Git:20130502-32b1a5e)

what am i doing to create the crash:

just opening the Movies tab in XBMC

or opening the Movies.English playlist

first of all XBMC works with most other playlists
but once query goes over 1000 items then it crashes intermittently

my movies tab has 6016 movies
my Movies.English Playlist has 4354 movies

all other tabs open as most of them have less then 1000 queries

on occasion i can open the movies English playlist after a fresh reboot but only for a second or 5 once the backgrounds and posters are comming in then it crashes again

with crashing i mean .... complete black screen ... little timer comming up ... back to appletv home screen and i need to set my sleeper time out again in the general tab

I Think the issue is due to low memory problem .... due to the large lists (queries)
but i wanted to know if there is anything i can do?
can we add some swapfile to appletv ?
Quote:Apple-TV:~ root# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/disk0s1s1 598M 519M 74M 88% /
devfs 27K 27K 0 100% /dev
/dev/disk0s1s2 6.9G 694M 6.2G 10% /private/var
Apple-TV:~ root#
there is 6.2gb swap space available Tongue

any other way to be able to use more memory on the appletv ?

or do i sell him on ebay and buy another htpc ??

anyway here are the logs if you want them

Please note the same movie folders opens fine on my htpc in the living room
so as far as i know it is not a db issue or something else
