Different deinterlace settings DVD / PVR

Hi,

I discovered that the deinterlace settings are different for DVDs and PVR. When watching videos and LiveTV I have a lot of good working deinterlacers like temporal/spatial .. but when watching a dvd there are just deinterlacers like bob, weave (both, especially weave, don't work even very well) and "deinterlace", whatever this is ..

Any suggestions ? I'm using xbmc 12.2.
