Hi all,
Im currently running Eden, and had it setup exactly how I wanted, then one day out of the blue, turned XBMC on and my music library had disappeared. I was extremely frustrated to say the least, but I managed to recover. This has since happened twice more for no apparent reason whatsoever.
Now re-scanning all my media back on to XBMC it is missing some of my media.
I scan via a mapped network drive from a NAS. This works for my TV Shows and Movies fine, and seemed to work for my music also.
I cannot figure out why it is choosing to skip some media. It tends to be songs missing from an album, however, I can see them there on the NAS and via explorer, and all the properties are exactly the same between the songs (minus the obvious track number and title). So why only chose to add certain ones?
Also I found if I copy the file, and paste as a copy, then re-scan the library it picks up the copied file but with the artist like this:
artist/artist
I look in the file properties and it makes no reference to this at all, so where is XBMC getting this from, and why only accept a copied file?
I have tried cleaning the database, and then deleting it, but it doesn't appear to have fixed the issue.
Unfortunately I can't post a log as I don't know how, but if you tell me I can certainly put one up.
Any help on this would be really appreciated, its driving me nuts! I don't really want to have to completely uninstall and reinstall, it'll take hours to get everything back to how I like it.
Thanks again.[/size]
