Actor thumbnails have disappeared

For some reason actor thumbnails aren't showing up any more for me.

I've been using metabrowser to write the location of the actor thumb to the .xml file. I've since tried the other option of saving the thumbnails in the .actor folder but that doesn't work either. Any ideas?
