Has this been done?
Whoever built it would come up with a better name than that, and would receive $200 unmarked non sequential US dollars of cold hard cash... actually just electronic transfer but you get the idea![Smile]( "Smile")
The concept has three parts:
part 1: Trailers
When i hit play movie i would love to have the movie launch a trailers script and play maybe 4-5 coming soon trailers in hi-def, different or random trailers biased towards hopefully youtube views or imdb ratings so i dont get arty indie trailers no one has ever heard of or least of.
part 2: DTS clip
Them follow that by a short (20sec) DTS promo sound clip that encapsulates your surround sound setup eg ww.youtube.com/watch?v=27bxj6I-2Y4&list=PL385B17B946E1D89B
part 3: Countdown clip
and then follow that by the old school film countdown eg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRPQmaFQiwM
after which your movie plays. And thus creating an authentic cinema at home experience.
This would be best implemented with skin integration because you probably would not want this for every video you play through xbmc however if your like me and planning on setting up a Home cinema room just for movies then it would not matter as much, but it would still be good to have a "play movie" button and on top of that a "play with Cinema@Home" button
