After reading alot about it i was wondering if xmbc can do this
HTPC with xmbc on it > cable connection to router in desk room > stream video's to panasonic blu-ray player wireless connected to router to display the video on TV in lounge downstairs.
I know it doesn't have a service so i wouldn't mind it alot to have to start manually, though a service would be nice
My player (panasonic DMP-BD85) sees the XMBC server but every file i try to access has a duration of -:-- (no duration found). It doesn't transcode. I did some research and the only certified file extension is .mpg
serviio doesnt work either.
files with an mpg extension work just fine for streaming, anything else doesn't. Launching files on windows directly works just fine
