mx2 ui

hi every 1

just got set top box same spec as gbox mx2,runs great apart from the black ui bar at the bottom when watching a film in xbmc very annoying,is there any way to remove it,can not find anything in settings,tried fullscreen app but says box must have root any idea how i can do this or can any 1 lead me to a stable firmware with root,any advice much appriciated
