Launch web browser from within xbmc?

Hi guys!

Please forgive me if this has been posted before, I have done a search but haven't found an answer.

So my question is this, I want to be able to launch a web browser from within xbmc, is it possible? If so, how? I have installed the Advanced Launcher and added my web browser as a standalone, but I keep getting an error in the terminal complaining that it can't find the display. I followed instructions from here

I'm running the latest build of XBian, with LXDE desktop environment installed. I chose XBian because it's minimal, I don't need to run any other services apart from what I need.
