Cinemascope position

Hi,

Is it possible to get ultra widescreen / cinemascope movies to play positioned at the bottom of the screen rather than in the middle? i.e. rather than having black bars above and below, there would just be a double height bar at the top.

My projector screen is mounted fairly high up, and it would be better if the movies were played as low down as possible.
