I'm looking for advice on building a new XBMC as my current Revo is becoming too slow.
I wanted to understand the key questions that drive the various options based on currently technology.
How does AMD/Intel currently compare in terms of value with processes and onboard graphics for XBMC?
I'm a guessing that I would go down a onboard graphics path unless there was a compelling reason not to?
What are the main differences between Linux and Windows in terms of performance?
What is the expected impact/value of the intel haswell processors and onboard graphics hd 4600. Is this something that should be considered?
I am mainly expecting to use this for xbmc watching hd movies and tv shows. Perhaps Netflix but I already have a roku. Also using for sickbeard, couchpotato, sabnbz and potently sharing files across my network. Not expecting a need for 3D tv at this stage.
I am happy to build something myself but obviously fine if I can buy prebuilt for same cost.
