Wav Sound Files Small Parts Missing

Hi,

I installed "Frodo" rpm on my Fedora 18 box and playing my (previously playable) wave files have small parts missing. It is intermittent roughly every 3 seconds and lasts about 0.5 seconds.
They worked perfectly on my "Eden" and I can play streamed music OK.
Sound is still set to its defaults.

Could someone suggest what I should try to get them to play correctly?

I also have have fc18 on a laptop so will install "Frodo" on it to see if it does the same.

PS The sound files play perfectly on VLC.
