VRC-1100 Remote Help

Hello, I have the VRC-1100 Vista MCE Remote Control and I can't seem to get it to open XBMC with it, let me list the things that I've done.

I turned off Windows Media Center in Programs and settings so it won't launch when I press the "Green Start" button, I've turned on in XBMC "Remote control sends keyboard presses", I've installed MCERemote in XBMC, I made XBMC shortcut key open with Ctrl+SHIFT+W and mapped that in XBMC and I've used the following links below/programs to no avail.
