I finally sorted my Movies into Sets using a NFO editor (Media Elch).
Now some Sets have a thumbnail when browsing, and others don't. I have no idea why that is and why not. I know I can set the thumbnail myself, when selecting the Set and pressing 'c' and then 'choose art' (but even then for some reason it doesn't show always, at least on OSX).
The main issue I have is the following: I want to have all the information written to disk and not just in my library. So that when I set up another XBMC installation, or re-install it, it will just import everything. When I manually set a thumbnail this won't be saved except in the XBMC Library. Is there a way to declare a Movie Set Thumbnail using (nfo) files?
Also I think there was a script / plugin (at least for older version of XBMC) that did just that - but I can't find it. Hit google and the forum search but it only turns up threads about thumbnail size in frodo
