Hello,
I'm trying to edit the /etc/exports file on my Synology box in order to use NFS from my Pi and other devices. I'm using vi as the editor but am running into trouble after I edit the file and want to save it. The editor simply says "'^X' is not implemented" at the bottom of the screen. I don't seem to be able to get the case to drop to lowercase regardless of the status of Caps Lock. Trying Esc first does not seem to do the trick.
I'm using PuTTY from a Windows 7 Pro box and have logged on as root. I seem to be able to do this on the Pi when I need to edit files on there, so I don't understand what the problem is.
Any tips on how to save the file from vi or should I be using another editor?
