I really love the AEON NOX. I have it customized slightly (customer menu items, etc) and overall speed of navigation while on a specific screen is fine BUT when changing screens it is dog slow compared to any other skin I try.
Example: Home -> Movies ... display is black anywhere from 2-5 seconds.
... This delay happens with any screen transition, even going back to the Home screen has a slower refresh than other skins.
My dedicated HTPC is very fast... Win7 x64, 8GB RAM, i7 CPU, SSD drive, 1GB wired network, files on a NAS via NFS (w/ 1GB NIC)
I keep up with GIT and the speed has been the same (slow) since 4.0 released.
