Hello!
I tried to play a multicast stream on my RPi using XBMC Frodo 12.2Alpha and noticed several issues.
I created a .strm File containing my multicast stream address "udp://@239.1.1.1:5000". It's a MPEG-TS stream with h264 video and ac3 audio.
When I open the .strm File it loads between 15 and 30 seconds which is much too high. With vlc I get stream within 1-2 seconds.
Then in 9 of 10 tries the video stops after about 10 seconds, as the ac3 buffer decreses from 40 % to 0% and I get back to XBMCs video menu automatically.
In the 10h try I get a stable buffer and video can be played for several minutes, but than audio and video get async, cpu goes up to ~ 100% and then I also get video playback defects.
