Multizone Audio Output

Hey guys, how's things? Please be patient with me on this one.

I originally posted this question on the OPENELEC forum with my original request stating:

Quote:I've recently upgraded my ATV1 with a Broadcom card and Openelec. On the whole things are working fantastically well, except...............

My ATV is one of several input devices connected to my Onkyo Amp. It's connected via a HDMI cable for audio output to my Zone 1 speakers (5.1) and an Analogue audio cable for output to my Zone 2 speakers (2.1) located outside.

Prior to upgrading the ATV, I was running XBMC Eden installed on Firecore. I was able to assign the Zone 2 speakers to the ATV so we could listen to music outside, whilst at the same time assign Zone 1 output to one of the other devices; cable TV, Playstation, Bluray etc inside.

Since upgrading though I can no longer set my ATV output to my Zone 2 speakers. Is there something I’m doing wrong? The only thing that’s changed is the card and the version of XBMC. All speakers are hardwired and output to the Zone 2 speakers from other sources still works.

As an aside, I recently set up a similar configuration for a mate who also uses an Onkyo and the only difference was he has a WD TV Live as his media centre instead of an ATV1. I was able to successfully set up Multi Zones at his place.

I followed the instructions given however the suggested solution didn't resolve the issue, and as you can see from the response the next stage was to engage the XBMC developers and see if it can be resolved. As a relative Noob to XBMC I'm looking for a solution or instructions on how to engage with the developers.

Can anybody shed any light? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please let me know,

Cheers and thanks,

D
