Hey guys!
I've bee toying around with FileBot after having discovered Missing Movie Search. I knew there were a couple of movies that didn't make their way through to the library -- finally I knew what I was up against!
Anyway, there's still a couple of movies I'm hitting brick walls with. Maybe somebody here can help?
One prominent example: George Lucas' seminal "THX 1138". The filename is "THX 1138 (1971).mp4", and it's a DVD-Rip from my collection. No matter what I do, neither IMDb nor TheMovieDB yield anything -- even though the filename is clear, the year of release is correct, and there aren't many similar sounding movie titles the scrapers could get mixed up by.
So, what's going on here? Is maybe "1138" being interpreted as a date? :-)
But that's not the only one: Here are some more examples that should correspond to XBMC's movie naming conventions and be pretty unambiguous on IMDb.
Impostor (2001).mp4
It Might Get Loud (2008).avi
Take This Waltz (2011).avi
The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).mp4
All the files are in one folder, together with about another 500 movies -- that all follow the same naming pattern and get scraped without a hitch.
Any ideas why these mentioned above wouldn't get scraped? (I'm using Frodo on Ubuntu, if that's any help.)
Nicola
