Server client library + fanart

Is there some way to let server update the library (possible with filesystem change watcher) and strape fanart; and openELEC to consume it?

... i mean some way beginner can setup.

Until now i used mediabrowser in a way that when it started i got list of newly added tv shows (and movies) and it would be really great if i can get same thing from xbmc. It already displays recently added, but i found no way complete way to update automatically update it.

I know there is rasPlex, but it is really new, and i already know that xbmc is usable.
