I am going to run XBMC on W7 from an SSD. Since I plan to use the same machine as a desktop/workstation machine, I am considering creating two partitions on the SSD, one for XBMC and the other one for desktop usage.
Does that make sense or not? I was thinking it could make sense because a Windows setup for XBMC would be focused on ease-of-use, thus probably turning off certain Windows features and services, making Windows log-on automatically, adjusting the look-and-feel, turning off anti-virus/firewall, not needing all the software, etc. whereas desktop usage is the opposite. Disadvantage of creating two partitions obviously would be losing 20GB of my SSD for what I actually have installed already, and having to restart the computer all the time I want to switch between working and entertainment. Or should I just create two different Windows users?
What do you think?
