Hey all, new to the world of XBMC and so far it seems awesome.
My buddy and I are both building dedicated home theaters in our homes and love the ability to create a Cinema Experience. He's very computer illiterate so it's my task to figure this all out for us both in the easiest ways possible. I'm usually pretty good with these sorts of things but I have to admit the sure volume of info and tracking it all down has been daunting. Google has only helped a little so I figure the best thing to do is ask. Sure some might be upset and scream "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!!!" but I've tried that without finding the answers I seek.
I've been playing around with XBMC and Cinema Experience trying to get myself familiar with it but there's still a number of questions I have. So to begin,
1. Does XBMC support, or will it support, 3D playback from ripped Blu-ray files or other 3D content? (Best/simplest ripping software advice?)
2. Is there D-Box intergation with XBMC?
3. I'm certain this has been asked a billion times but.... good general specs for building a smooth XBMC HTPC (with 3D and D-Box support)?
4. Can the Cinema Experience add-on be altered to include more options? My buddy wants a sequence of press play - Theater intro Bumper - Coming Soon Bumper - 3 random trailers - Theater promo Bumper - Cartoon short - Feature presentation Bumper - Random THX bumper - correct audio format bumper - film begins. I'm so-so with HTML scripting but need to find where to start and figure out what I'm doing.
