I recently installed XBMC 12.1 on my ASUS Prime (TF201) and found out that it is not so mature as I expected.
I ran across these problems:
I ran across these problems:
- PalPlayer sometimes freezes, it occurs when it is playing and I touch the screen. The controls appear at the bottom of the screen but the app is unresponsive and I don't even get an ANR. I have to go to settings->apps->XBMC and force close it.
- Programs screen takes a lot of time to come up. For just showing the menu with 2 items: Applications and Add-ons. The Applications item is ,in my opinion, totally unnecessary, since it does not provide nothing new to the Android OS, and the launched apps do not return to XBMC.
- Added some apps from the Programs->Applications to my Favorites list. And they do not launch from the Favorites list. Only from the Programs->Application list.
- The log file is not where they say it's supposed to be, actually I don't have any of the 3 paths mentioned in the documentation. But I do get error messages with the "Look ion the log file for details" phrase. I enabled debugging, but that only showed a constant overlay message on the left top corner of the display with he CPU usage and stuff, the log file still missing.
- I was thinking about maybe taking the XBMC debug log addon and see if I can modify it to show the log on screen instead of uploading it, but first I should ask if there is already an addon that shows the log file, is there?
