XBMC12.1 Linux Mint no playback HD (720p or higher)

Hi everyone,

I use an old laptop with 2 GHz DualCore Processor, 2GB DDR2 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 8400M graphic card.
I installed the last version of xbmc into a MINT distro, but i can't play any 720p/1080p videos.
I can play properly any lower than 720p content.

Should i've to install any codecs?
