So I have XBMC running on my Pi with Openelec and I have all of my media content on a computer running Linux. I have the hard drive shared with Samba and have it added as a source to my Pi. I've added the video directories to the Pi and it scanned the movies and TV shows and added them to the library.
Then a couple of days ago the movies in my library disappeared, however I was still able to access them through the file system. After looking at the xbmc.log file it said the disk image was malformed. Googled that and found out it meant the database was corrupt, so I deleted MyVideos75.db and ran the scan for new content again. This fixed the problem for the moment. Now they have disappeared again, but I am unable to fix the problem again the same way. I have deleted all the database files, removed the resources, added them back, and ran the scans again. Still no luck. Funny thing is though, my TV shows are still there in the library but when I go under movies there is nothing. I can go to a movie on the file system and its info, thumbnail, fan art, and everything is there. But there is nothing under the movie library like there was before. It's like XBMC detects that it's a movie and knows what movie it is but is not adding it to the library.
What am I doing wrong here?
